2000 volkswagen beetle turn signal not working

Without a pattern, the turn signals, wipers and heater fan stop working in unison. then without warning they will start working and when the ignition is shut off and restarted, they will fail to work. what is the common link to them,,,a power source, relay or ground ? and where is it located.

SOURCE: won't start

A friend here solved it. It was a bad connection of the ground wire, with the paddle-shaped connector loose. He cleaned it a bit, slid it back on, and crimped it a little (not easy to do in that tight space). Solved both problems.

Turning signal is blinking only blinking a few times and stop ? 2000 Volkswagen Beetle

This could be a faulty flasher relay. On the 2000 Beetle the relay is part of the Hazard signal switch. It will need replacing so you will need to remove the four star headed screws holding the panel the hazard switch is in. (2 underneath and 2 on the front). Two of the screws are hidden under little plastic covers. You then can remove the panel and replace the whole hazard switch unit.

2000 volkswagon beetle has no lights horn wipers turn signal is there a relay that runs this stuff

Yes, it is called "load reduction relay" or "X contact" relay. That sounds like your problem.

Why don't the headlights, turn signals, and wipers work?

Check fuses. Replace the turn signal switch for the head lights. If the wiper fuse is good, Replace the turn signal switch first, then go after the wiper motor. Both run threw the turn signal switch.

2000 new beetle turn signals and flashers will not work

Have you checked your fuses. Most of the cars will have a signal fuse in the fuse box a seperate signal fuse around the fuse box and a flasher fuse. So try and locate the fuses and replace them. Good luck

Checked all fuses and relays on 2000 beetle still do not have running lights or wipers or turn signals etc. etc.

You need a voltmeter and must troubleshoot the problem by testing for voltage from the fuse block to the components that don't work
