Hi Shane, It is possible that the tyre has been damaged. Take it to an alignment center and have them balance all the wheels and check the tyres. Regards John

SOURCE: 1996 suburban makes grinding noise in 2 wheel drive

sounds like the clip on the rear output shaft its probably broke. do this by removing the rear driveshaft, and the tail of the transfer case, there are 4 bolts holding it in place. then grab the output shaft and see if it has any front to back movement. if so pull it all the way to the rear and you should see a groove at the front part of the shaft where the clip goes. Then you should find the pieces fo the clip in the tail housing. One person said he found the replacement clip at a local tranny shop. I am calling the dealership parts counter for a new clip for my 97 Tahoe tomorrow. Hope this helps..

SOURCE: Vibration and noise from front end while driving

Jack up the front end and put stands under it and block rear wheels. Look at axle boots and see if they are cracked. Try turning wheel back and forth sharply and see if you can hear any clicking. Problem could be outer axle joints. If the boots are cracked or you hear a clicking noise you will have to replace the axle. The axle and boot come as a complete unit. Please let me know what you find out.

Have a mechanic check lower control arm bushing at the rear of the control arm.It is a horizontal bushing retained by a vertical bolt clamping it to frame. The tire will move more forward and back more than it should during braking. canuck mechanic.

SOURCE: Grinding noise front end.

I say it's the CV joints. You have to jack up under the lower A-Arm, to take the spring pressure off of it, to check them.

(Use jack stands, and wheel chocks behind the rear tires. Emergency brake On. Work on a hard level surface. Be SAFE! Trucks can be replaced, YOU cannot!)

Ihave a 99 suburban 2500 4x4 it is shaking between 30 and 55 stops when I let of throttle and makes a rattling loose metal sound as it works up to 55mph. Any ideas on the problem

Bad tires will cause vibrations at different speeds. So will bad wheel bearings. My car made awful noise at fifty but not at forty and I had two tires the belts were broken.

Any ideas why a 2003 chevy trailblazer may vibrate in the front but stops when you turn left

Does the vehicle make any noises while driving? If there is a "growling or roaring " noise associated with the vibration, check the right front hub bearing. If there are no noises and only vibration, check the right front upper ball joint and control arm bushings. The Trailblazer's upper ball joint and control arm bushings become worn and cause the tire and wheel assembly to shimmy while driving. The vibration stops when turning left because of weight transfer to the right side which keeps the wheel steady for a moment. Also, check the tire for irregular wear.

2008 chevy cobalt violent vibration arouhd 55mph ok below and above speed have replaced joints tires struts, vibration still there

Warped rotors or out of balance tires can cause this. Have you had a front-end alignment after putting these steering/suspension parts on? When replacing these parts IT IS CRITICAL TO HAVE ALIGNED. Also, Have you checked condition of front HUB/WHEEL BEARINGS?

as its been said re-balance tires, check ball joints. also check tire tread side for bubbles that happen from hitting holes in the road

My 1996 Chevy Suburban is experiencing low, intermittent noise and vibration that can be felt through the steering wheel and seats. This only occurs at 50 to 55mph and not constant like an unbalanced

possible wheel bearing at fault. if it heard/felt more when turning or swerving and is a growling type noise, more than likley is. possible bad tire shouldnt be over looked. is abs light on? most often when wheel bearing is bad a speed sensor ( within wheel bearing ) will go open, setting abs light. vehicle needs to be ran on a hoist to try and duplicate noise/vibration.

Replaced front hubs and still have roaring noise

clicking noise from front end while spinning tyres is an indication of failing cv joints. especially while turning the wheel from left to right. Suggest you replace the shafts

There is a clunking noise in the right front tire when i turn right what could that be?

Most likely will be the CV joint needs to be replaced. CV's are around $60 each and I recommend do both at once and just get it over with. Takes a couple hours.

Sway bar could be the issue but not likely unless it's broken at the end link.

If its the bearings - you should feel a wobble in the steering wheel or if you put the car on a lift and try to wiggle the tire/wheel and it does have play in it - likely to be the bearings and you would hear a constant noise from that tire and the clunking would be more constant.

My 99 chevy suburban tires were just rebalanced and rotated and I still have alot of vibration. Where could it becoming from?

You could have a universal joint that's binding. Sometimes they'll cause a vibration before they make any noise.

Makes noise underneath car. grinding or like a clunk

Probably your exhaust or heatshield scratching or vibrating. I would use self tapping screws to secure it tighter
