SOURCE: Steering wheel vibration and whine noise from rear of car

Yes, and it probably is your wheel bearing. Hearing a sound like a chain dragging is classic. You may also hear a clicking noise or chain dragging noise when turning to the left or right.

Look under the car and see if the rubber boots that surround the axle near the tires are cracked and leaking grease. If so, it is almost a certainty that the bearings are bad as you have lost grease and thus lubrication to the bearings.

Good luck,

When driving at 80km/h and above the vehicle vibrates, i replaced the mounting on the engine and the problem still persists. Opel corsa utility 2007, 130 000km(odometer)

How long ago were your tires balanced?
Vibration issues that show at higher speeds are commonly caused by missing balance weights (those little lead weight looking things) on the edges of your rim. I would take it in to a tire shop and have it balanced.

If the vibration is primarily through the steering wheel it is probably a front wheel and vice versa with the back.

96 300zx. What would cause a steering dead zone?

Could be the steering rack is worn out. But there is some adjustment I believe.

But before you try to adjust the rack, make sure the tierod ends are not loose, there is no play in and out on the steering shaft, and there is plenty of power steering fluid.

Steering wheel vibration

likely either an out of balance tire, out of round tire, or a shifted tire belt. less likely, it could be a seizing constant velocity joint.

All the controls on the steering wheel on my 1988 nissan 300zx stopped working all of a sudden (radio controls and cruise control). How do I fix it?

This is Indicative of the CLOCK SPRING Below the Steering Wheel, It is what Enables you to Have Electronic Controls There @ Wheel . Sort of A SLINKY Looking Wiring Set Up . Steering Wheel Must Be Removed to Replace this Component.
