I recently replaced the battery in my '03 Accord. When I turned the radio on, the word "code" appeared on the display. I entered the correct code and the radio started working, but I can't access the CD player. Pressing the "CD/AUX" button has no effect, nor does any attempt to eject or load a CD. The six icons showing which slots are occupied by CDs do not show on the display either. Any ideas other than disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery?
I have a crv also. the audio system has an anti-theft mechanism, to deter thieves from stealing your cd player/radio. you need a code to turn your unit back on, usually a four or five digit code, that should have been provided when you bought the vehicle. If you don't have it, the unit will come back on after, and only after a full, uninterupted hour of driving.
As the original post states, the code was entered. The problem is beyond that.

I have the same problem except a little different. My battery went out one night and after that, my radio started flipping through each channel and the cd player until it warmed up a little...2 minutes at the most...I replaced my battery and my cd player wont work at all...my honda dealer disconnected my cd player...now I cant reconnect it because I dont know how...any help...if I take it in...they will probably charge me!!!
I have honda accord 2003 V6 EX coupe. My car won't recognize the cd player either. The other day I was switching from my disc 1 to disc 2 and the disc got stuck somehow.I could not eject the cd nor could I load a new one. I tried pressing the cd/aux button but it made no difference. Finally, after reading on some forums I disconnected the battery and reconnected it again after 15/20 minutes. I have done that twice and my car still won't recognize the device. If anyone has any solution, please let me know.I went to see a local honda dealer and they said if they take it out and send it for repair, it would cost me 350.00$ and the warranty is for 90 days. That's absolutely outrageous.I would have installed a after market cd player a long time ago, if it was not for that huge dash board. It would look ugly without that factory cd player.
