Please take the following statement to heart...if you are going to own a computer car...from where you bought it, go directly to your nearest parts house and spend $15.00 -$25.00 bucks on the repair manual for your particular year , make , model ,it will be the best investment that money can buy when it comes to these vehicles, did you make sure all timing components are set right ??? , check all fuses ,dose it cough , spit , back fire thu the upper end , tail pipe ??? or just crank but won't attempt to fire???valve's set right ??? , read the trouble shoot chapter in that repair manual your going to go get , hope this helps , good luck...

There is no machine for this, however a VERY skilled auto electric shop might be able to help. They really have to have a Gift with car wiring to fix your problem,it can be FIXED,find the right shop in your area.I will try and think this through to help you, this is what I used to do,It's not a book problem it is experience that will fix your car. I do have a question? How does your car run without the AC on?

ok if you want to check the relays and modules, locate the boxx where they are located, use the legend to figure out which is which under there, and pull two identical relays and switch them, if what you want to come on then work, if it didnt before, then thats the problem, if not, then your problems are elsewhere, I'm assuming your cooling fans on the front for the radiator and a/c aren't coming on? but while driving its not heating up because air is forced from motion? lets just hope its the relay or one of the big fuses in the main power block, those are cheap fixes, the other problem could cost you a couple hundred bucks

Why is my 2006 pt cruiser still overheating and bubbling when i replaced the radiator the thermostat and the o2 censor

O2 sensor has nothing to do with engine overheating. Are you losing coolant? Did you bleed all the air out of the cooling system after replacing radiator? Have you checked the coolant for exhaust gas byproducts? You may have a bad head gasket, or a cracked block/head if you ran the car for an extended period while overheated.

you need to eliminate one thing at a time and this is how . inspect the oil cap where you put oil into your car and make sure there is no white discolouration build up on the underside of the cap (if there is this can indicate water has mixed with the oil head-gasket leaking )the water pump can be checked after the car has been running for a few mins by feeling any rubber water hoses going to and from the radiator both should be about the same temp . The fan will come into play after the motor has reached a higher temp and can be seen spinning if not they are at fault .a inspection of the water reserve tank should prove to be clean and not contain any oily build up if so it might be contaminated by oil ( head gasket leaking ) you may need to flush the coolant system mainly the radiator by using a chemical wash to help unblock any build up .

Sounds like the engine head gasket needs to be replaced. The gasket has deteriated from the engine cylinder and coolant passage and overheating the coolant. Sometimes you will see coolant mixed with engine oil, or milky solution on the oil dipstick

My pt cruiser iver heated and the head gasget blew. I was told that I would need to get, at least a new head, if not a new engine becuase the head on this pt cruiser can't not be resurfaced. does anyone...

You may not need an engine depending on how long you drove it overheated. if your engine is not knocking or rapping it may be saveable. check with auto parts stores that resurface engine heads if haveing resurfaced have the head checked for cracks. if you need an engine check your local junk yard for a low milage wreck or look in ebay.

2002 pt cruiser overheating was told i need a new raditor and thermostat for 1 grand sounds fishy

Flush rad & change coolant & thermostat. Check operation of rad fan, & make sure it is coming on when engine reaches normal operating temperature. Be sure to bleed air out good when refilling rad/cooling system. Start engine & turn heater on when refilling & let rad fan come on & off at least 2 or 3 times before putting cap back on rad, and refill rad as needed as you do this. then fill return bottle to proper level & see what happens.

Overheating engine

Check your oil dipstick for coolant, or a mucky substance. Your symptoms sound like a blown head gasket.
