2003 Avalon uneven tire wear and failure

Despite balancing and rotating tires every 5000 miles and annual alignment checks the tires wear unevenly and fail in about 1.5-2 years. Toyota cannot find a problem. There has never been an issue with the alignment when it's checked. Bought the car at 30,000 miles it now has 130,000. Otherwise it's great. It has not been in an accident.

You don't say if the wear is on the front or the rear, but I suspect it is on the front. I would take it someone other than the dealer, that specializes in front ends. If it is the front, there is certainly a problem there.

Ask you Mechanic to check for leaky struts that is a common problem in that module.

The treads are going up and down unevenly it passed calibration and both shocks are sitting on 6 what do I do now??

Are you saying that you are experiencing uneven tire wear? If so, sounds to me like you need an alignment, and that you have not been rotating your tires every 6000 miles. I'd suggest an alignment and regular tire rotations in the future

Vibrates at 35mh

Wheel alignment and tire balance are the first place to look. if you feel vibrations in the seat. the rear wheels are the fist place to check. if vibrations are present through the steering wheel, then front tire alignment and tire balance are probably the cause. or something suspension or steering related. Even uneven wear on tires can cause this. but uneven wear is the sign of another problem, tracing back to suspension or steering problems.

Tire wear

get an ALIGNMENT, should be around $75 from local service shops. Your tie rods, ball joints, control arm bushings, wheel bearings and sway bar links being worn out can all contribute to tires wearing uneven or more than usual. Having properly inflated tires is a big help too. Also have your tires rotated every 10,000 miles. Also have the wheels balanced.

Replaced front drivers tire, rotated tires. The car starts shking at 30 miles an hour. What do I need to do?

Rotated and changed tire????changed tires then rotated? well see if this helps.....Check If the Manufacturer Specs on your driver side door. Make sure you have the right tire size and tire pressure. Inspect tires for lumps or uneven wear. NEXT check for a bent or warped rim, Missing weights if they have been balanced(balance if not already done) IF shaking happens in acceleration continue checking if the tires you kept are not worn out on the inside or if your wheel bearings are worn out. (If it happens when braking check your rotors) hopefully its not a bigger deal.

How often should I get my tires rotated? balanced? aligned?

You should rotate your tires every 6,000 to 8,000 miles or when you notice uneven tread wear. You should balance your tires when you buy new ones or see uneven tread wear. You should align your car when you know you hit a pothole, feel vibration. If you are unsure you should ask a certified mechanic.

Vibration at 60mph

Hi vibration at 60 is normally wheel balance not the alaignment, get the 2 front wheels weighted and balanced, if they are wearing unevenly then it could be suspension bushes, track rod ends.

But most likely the wheels just need balancing only cost about $20 to 30 max

Hope this helps

2001 Jeep wrangler, at 45-50 mph, the front end and steering wheel shakes real bad.

I would start by first making sure you dont have a bent rim. Check the tires for any bubbles in the sidewall or any deformation in the tire as this would suggest a broken cord inside the tire. If that checks out, get the tires balanced and see if that solves the problem.

Uneven tire wearing in rear. new shocks or springs?

There are a multitude of ways a tire will wear unevenly and they all have unique causes. You can take it to a good tire shop and they will be able to diagnose what your specific problem and solution are.

When i go over 55mph my front end trembles so bad it can be felt on the steering wheel

There are multiple reasons the front end could be shaking.

1. Tires are out of balance or one has become separated causing a knot.

2. One of the front bearings is going out.

3. One of the 2 front cv drive shafts are wearing out or bent.

4. Inner and Outer Tie rod ends needing replaced

Above are the 4 main causes of vibration in the front end being able to be felt in the steering wheel. i would first take the vehicle to the tire shop and have them check the balance on all 4 wheels. Also, while they have the wheels off, ask them nicely if they could check out the front end for you.
