I just bought a new 2008 Adly Thunder Bike 150cc. I am new to the scooter scene and don't know much about how to fix/adjust them. When I stop at an intersection and release the brakes the scooter feels as though it is pulling forward against me. It is an automatic transmission and I am under the impression that once you brake to a stop the scooter should be in neutral. I have checked to make sure I am not pressing on the throttle. Also, the rpms register at 3 when I am stopped. Does anyone has any ideas on what might be causing this issue and some advice on how to fix it?
People this is a scooter. The problem is that your idle screw on the Carb needs adjustment. The idle screw can be adjusted with a Philips screw driver. Follow your throttle cable to the carb. You'll see a screw that pushes a pulley down raising your rpms. This will lower your idle causing the rpms to drop and since your scooter transmission is propelled my higher RPMs the bike will stop thrusting you forward when you stop at red lights.

I would probably begin by servicing the trans if it is time. try the obvious stuff first like trans fluid level, and there is a screen in there that filters the fluid if it needs to be changed it can make the trans act funny. Any oil change place should do it at a reasonable price. Hope this helps
SOURCE: when braking, engine revs up and car moves forward
I have a 1997 Ford Explorer with same exact problem. Even worse, my engine revvs so forcibly, that the truck moved forward and struck another vehicles.
You need to replace the oxygen sensor annually. My mechanic informed me that this problem is inherently prevalent in Fords.
Hopes this helps?

My bet would be a transmission problem. Worn clutch material, worn gears, worn bands. Several issues like that, when you check the transmission fluid feel it, if there are metallic, or other particles in it there could be some transmission wear going on.
It's also good to remove the transmission oil pan and take a look at the fluid in there (keep in mind, doing this will drain the transmission of fluid) the reason I say that is almost all transmission oil pans have a magnet to collect metal particles and keep them from entering the filter, so checking the dipstick there is a less likely chance you will actually find metal particulates.
I hope this helps. If not, let me know what you did, and have found I will try to help you more. Add details, the more I know the easier it is to tell you what could be wrong.

I had the same problem on my 2006 Lucerne and it was the engine mount located on the front of the vehicle behind the radiator.

Readjust the band, I have ran into this same problem with another C-4.Found the reverse spool valve was sticking in the valve body. Hopes this helps.
