Did the anti-theft system get activated? Clear it with the key by locking then unlocking the driver door. It cost me $100 to learn that lesson when I had to tow it home.
Good at start up then lack power under load,a plugged exhaust can do that.If there was a misfire that has been ignored the catalytic can only handle for so long. The 1994 Previa uses a vane airflow meter.so a torn intake duct can also cause lack of power under load,so check the air duct at the MAF to the intake and inspect for false air.
Does the handle have tension when you lift it , or is it free floating? Could be a broken plastic lever on the inside of the handle. Does the electric unlock work for the other doors? Can the door be opened?
You could call a locksmith who will reach in by the window glass and release the lock. $50 to !00. Less if you drive it to his shop. That will get you in, but it may happen again. I don't see much choice but to remove the door panel and take a look. Remove all visible screws, some can be hidden behind plastic plates. The rest of the attachments are probably plastic snaps and clips. Remove the panel and see what is not happening.
Auto parts stores, online, or perhaps the library may have a Chilton's manual. it will have full pictures and details. Well worth the $10. I've done numerous similar repairs to my wife's Sienna. Lock motors, door handles, blown speakers, power window motors, etc. All parts are available on line.
I assume you mean a 1991 Previa (that was the first year of the model). It is likely you have broken a small spring inside the door that connects the handle to the latch. The only way to tell is to remove the inner door panel (two screws: one under the door handle and one midway along the upper part of the interior door structure then pull out and up).
