Key fob is fine and has had many new batteries. It seems the sensor is tired of the Texas heat, in the morning the fob will open the doors no problem, but if the car sits undriven in the Texas heat for a couple of hours it doesn't work OR you have to place the fob ON the hood to get it to work....if your lucky

I think you might even have your car battery checked as it is the heart of all activity. Batteries can build up overnight and react differently in heat.

Along that line is the transmitter for your key-less, the mate to your FOB which needs and uses radio signals to operate. The heat may have gotten to the part inside your car. Heat messes with electric components and may drop the strength of the signal. This is what it sounds like happens if the FOB needs to be over the hood of your car to operate. The car part of the system does not have a strong enough signal to respond to the FOB. Could be a gap in the antenna in the responder.

SOURCE: problem with ford explorer alarm imobiliser

You should have a switch under the dash and then just turn it to the off position. If you don't or it doesn't work (like mine) then, there is 2 fuses under the dash, put the key in the ignition and turn it forward, pull one of the fuses out and then start the car that should reset it. Then you should be able to put the fuse back. Sometimes if you put the fuse back before starting it the alarm will just continue to try and reset itself, but not start the car. If that doesn't work I have a mechanic who can pull the whole alarm out and when hes done it would look like nothing has ever been installed. Hes very good. I ended having him take my alarm out when I had the same incident happen after the 2nd time.

SOURCE: Combination on car keypad does not open doors

Does the key pad on the door light up? Are there any tears in the key pad numbers? Does the key pad lock the doors?.
There are no fuses directly for the pad.. The key pad is linked directly to the RAP. module. If the locks work from the FOB the fuses for the Module are good. Chances are the pad is no good especially if it don't light up. The RAP module is above the driver side foot well, directly above the accelerator pedal . Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Keys and Keyfob do not open 2001 explorer from outside

Spray some WD-40 into the key cylinders and then try working the key. The locks seize up because you keep using the FOBs.

.2007 Toyota Camry XLE key fob not opening trunk remotely...also starting to have problems with it opening driver side door

First things first...replace the cheaper part first, the battery. It that works, great! If not, then you may need a new key fob then have it programed to your system.

Won't start, could it be fob or engine?

Try not using the fob at all open the door with the key. And start the jeep if it works without issue then its the fob. If its still not working correctly remove the battery from the fob and try again(since if it was damaged could be sending the signal for the panic button) the next step is the key try your spare security key can become worn and cause issues with the antitheft system. After that it only leaves computer problems and those can get spendy

2003 Monte Carlo SS, FOBS won't unlock doors (new batterries), use key and open the door with the door open FOB will lock and unlock the door, shut the door and the FOB won't lock the doors. After...

If the passkey is messed up, there will be a light on the dash that says security, or have a picture of a car with a lock thru it. If there is no light when the key is turned forward, then its NOT a passkey problem.

Won't open my door when I press unlock, key won't open door either

can you manually unlock the lock and open the door?? Is it more than one door or just one specific door? If its just one door, yourcactuator inside the door may be bad or you have a wire issue. If its all the doors, more than likely you blew a fuse or a relay(id say fuse)
