My 95 maxima wants to stalls when when I accelerate pass 30 mph, it makes a loud roaring sound like it has a vacuum leak or something.

It turns on fine and runs great but when i put it in drive and accelerate pass 2200 rpms or 30mph it makes a roaring sound and stalls on me. it sounds like it has a vacuum leak somewhere.

You may be hearing the air intake - could be a leak in the intake hose to the air filter.
Is the check engine light on ?

SOURCE: when car is running and fan comes on

Sonds like the fan to me. Yes, those are available separately. Water pump is internal inside of the timing cover and those are pretty bullet proof. Fan is most likely NG. Not that common. I have replaced only 1 in 12 years with Nissan.

Try leaving your cell phone at home and driving around. Cell phones and other devices many times will try using speaker wires as an extension of their antennae which is RF interference and therefore the sound of this crackling can go through your speaker system. This can happen at home or in a car.

SOURCE: 2000 Nissan Maxima dipping RPM's and no acceleration

No problems with EGR valves/system on this model car. Its located under the throttle body. Your valve is electronically controled by the ECM/Computer. Pretty bullet proof setup. What is the actual code number that autozone gave you?? Let me know the code number and will take it from there.

SOURCE: i have a 2000 nissan maxima and the problem that i

Idle air control valves short out all the time on these models. You can ohm the motor to check it, but the down side to a shorted iac valve is that it shorts out the ecm if not repaired quickly. when the valve shorts, 12 volts is supplied directly to the ecm and burns the circuit board. The other option is the air flow meter, this is also a very common problem but typically a p0171/p0174 would be stored in self diag.

89 f150 5.0 V8. has a loud high pitched whistle sucking sound. seems to be coming from left back of engine, not 100% certain. lessens or goes away with acceleration, seems like it wants to stall

You have a vacuum leak, it may be a cracked or collapsed vacuum hose or a leaking intake manifold gasket you can use starting fluid or carb cleaner to locate it just spray around the intake and hoses the engine will speed up when you spray over the leak. I hope this helps. Take care.

What is causing a loud ticking sound instead of a normal boat engine sound when accelerating in my boat?

One of the spark leads has come off or has chafed against something wearing away the insulation, thus the ticking sound, spark going elsewhere instead of the spark plug. Make sure the plug leads are secure and in good condition, make sure no water has entered the engine cyl head area

2000 Nissan Maxima sounds like its not shifting into 3rd gear

What do you mean by loud... Loud where??? If noise is from engine, make sure that the mechanical fan clutch is not "locked" (it's supposed to freewheel when cold... if it does not, it will "roar" when driving.

Sounds like a burst of Air when changing gears???? and Wurrrrrrr when accelerating???

first thing you need to do rule out vacuum to shifting module make sure there is no leaks you usually can detect by a hissing sound or high pitch whistle check your shifting module on your transmission providing transmission screen and filter has been maintained as for the second part gm powersteering pumps have a tendency to whir if a new belt has been installed until it breaks in
