SOURCE: headlights flicker all the time

Hi, my name is ricky and im 24 yrs old and from Bronx, N.Y . I bought my 03 impala in 04 and i had the same problem in 2007 in which that clicking noise happens. The headlights flicker, and even the gauges inside the car would flicker at times. It has nothing to do with fuses or a relay, please dont spend money on that b.s. like i did..lol I will try my best to explain what i did so that you can save some money and time. READ EVERYTHING AND USE ADVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
1st of all - I went to a junk yard/auto salvage yard to find a USED part that i needed. Often there are good parts from cars that have been totalled.
2nd- What i asked for was a Body Control Module. This controls most of the electric issues you are having and costed me about 50 dollars compared to a new one that was over $200 and reached up to $500.
3rd- I went head first under the steering column and found where the BCM was located. Poke around to find it cause it is def. there, hidden well. It doesnt take special skill to remove it or find it.
4th-Replace the BCM, but be advised that after you do this, your car might not crank over.My car did crank over because i installed a automatic starter previously so i could have started it with the remote start.
5th- you MUST take the car to a chevy shop so they can Program your car to the body control module this costed me about $250.
All together this information has to help you in someway.
If you have further questions or would like to make a comment, then e-mail me at " [email protected] "
I hope this helps...im not saying it is a 100 percent guarantee for you, but i had this same problem recently and this was the answer to my problem. By the way, never buy a american car again or a GM product for that matter...Kudos

SOURCE: 98 Chevy S10 4wd drive will not engage when button is pushed

your problem sounds like either the transfer case control module located where you hear the clicking sound, or the actuator on the transfer case itself.

try unplugging the transfer case control module and then plug it back in, try engaging 4wd again (make sure your in neutral, coasting at 1-2 mph might help as well) if it still doesn't work check the actuator itself to see if the actuator is trying to engage. if the actuator is trying to engage but doesn't, take the actuator out and check it for wear or damage. if the actuator seems fine and it responds to the buttons when pressed i'd go after the transfer case control module as the culprit. ran into that a few times on those s-10's. 3 out of 4 that i've seen were fixed with a new tccm. 1 of the 4 needed an actuator, check your local junk yard for a working tccm or actuator.

hope this helps!

SOURCE: I am trying to replace the fuel pump relay switch

my S-10 has a fuse relay box under the hood (Square box about 6 inches with a thumbscrew
knob in the center) it's not too obvious with all the emissions junk in there. Hope this helps.

Turned high beams on 1 night, headlights started flickering, turned back to low, was fine. Now they do it on both, and I hear a clicking coming from behind the dash near glovebox? They do not go out all...

The clicking sound is the headlight relay / thermal limit switch -- probably faulty. The light switch operates this relay -- something could be overheating or the relay coil could be faulty and not holding the realy contacts closed. Sounds like replacing the relay would be the most likely solution.

My instrument panel, parking lights, and taillights flicker simultaneously. they are all ran off the 'park lamp relay' on my 2002 dodge dakota. my headlights are fine. the conflict is intermittent and...

relay coil may be a bit weak and is sharing power with the headlight relay. Try swapping the relay with the horn relay or another similar one that is non-essential to operation of the car. If that doesn't work, you may have a loose wire on the headlight switch or at the relay socket.

2001 Dodge Durango, headlights flicker

I had a similar problem on my 2001 Caravan. Turned out to be a loose connection between the frame control module and the fuse box. I unscrewed the frame/front control module from the fuse box and bent the tabs slightly to make better contact. Then tighten down the module securley. Need star driver to loosen screws

Headlights flick on and off

Check your relay but most of the time it's your light switch that has gone bad. The swithch heat's up after a while and then that when the flickering happens if not stop working. Good luck and hope this helps
