Same symptoms here. Vehicle towed to Dodge, been there a FULL 3 weeks, they seem stuck, telling me the part ( timing module? ) was bad, which releases the steering lock solenoid which in turn allows the key to turn among other critical functions.
I have read of this same failure over and over, so if there was a bad run of parts, they should have been identified and pulled from inventory.
Apparently, the dealership is stalling for reasons I do not fathom, and are not inclined to seek out advanced knowledge... just doing what the company tells em to do, which means I have no truck while they fail to be able to program these modules, one after the other.
So, it seems the Dodge dealer might either have a software problem with their equipment, or they got the procedures wrong for fixing it.
What they do not have is any curiosity or urgency to resolve the problem.
If I take it to a MB dealership, they will not honor the warranty.

Your tumblers are worn. You can "Bump" the lock to get it to work, but this is a very temporary fix. To bump the lock, simply tap on the end of the key with something heavy like a short 2X4 , the heal of a shoe or something similar - while in the ignition while attempting to turn the key to the start position. DO NOT turn the engine back of until you get the car home or to a repair facility.
