The coolant level sensor is located on the radiator. If you are looking at the engine from the front of the car it will be on the left side. There will some kind of clip holding it in the radiator. Removed the clip and pull the sensor out. You will lose coolant so try to swap it out quick or drain some of the coolant out. Once new sensor is installed, install clip to keep the sensor in place and reconnect the wires to the sensor. Crank the engine and make sure the coolant level is full. This should correct your problem.

Low coolant light comes on when rad and reserve are full

There's a sensor in the reservoir, it's probably bad. The Coolant Level Sensor is replaceable and should be available at your local parts store, or at RockAuto, com for around $36.00.

You need a window regulator for the back door., a fan speed relay for the blower, clean or replace the coolant level sensor.

Low coolant light blinks and it seems that there is enough coolant

There is a coolant level sensor either in the coolant tank reservoir or attached to the radiator that is malfunctioning. If coolant level is ok then most likely the sensor is going bad.

Low coolant light comes on and stays on. Engine runs at normal temp, coolant level is OK and antifreeze mix is 50/50.Wha'ts the problem? Thanks.

The sensor in the coolant tank has gone bad. It's the module mounted on the plastic overflow tank - with two wires running to it. You can purchase a new one at any auto parts store and install it in less than a minute, or you can just disconnect it.

2000 buick century, where is the thermostat located. and what level should the antifreeze be? the temp guage on dash is staying on the c side what may be the problem?

The thermostat is in a housing on the engine. It's located where the lower radiator hose attaches to the engine. The coolant level should be right near the top of the radiator when you remove the cap, and the overflow canister should be filled to the indicated line (there are markings on the canister). If your gauge stays on cold, you may have a faulty coolant temperature sensor. If it will get to normal operating temperature while sitting still, but starts cooling down when you drive, you have a thermostat failure - it's stuck open, and will need replacement.

Buick 1999 century replaced the sensor light and still comes on.

your buick century has a low coolant level sensor located in the passenger side of the radiator , sometiomes the sensor get covered with coolant sludge and will show that the cooling system is not filled , sometime the radiator is just still low on coolant . check the radiator when the engine is cold ( IF HOT WAIT !!! 30 mins ) and make sure the level is above the sensor.
