I have a 97 ram v6 manual that is jerking while driving down the road at any speed
This problem
is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and
throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use
carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC
chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is
running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the
speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and
blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the
negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

those sensors could cause the issue, clean the MAF 1st, also clean the idle system using the following procedure, the IAC can cause cruise surge. I use this to cure these problems all the time.
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve (IAC) and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

SORRY but you have a very typical dodge problem.dodges are VERY well known for these little and big wiring problems.you can find an electrical expert thats highly recomended or the dealer.if you don't fix it well,my grandads had some small problems fuel hand radio insturment panel would all stop working some times and some times work fine, then one day it burned the whole harness inside truck and under hood then it really cost a pretty penny.hope you get her fixed..

Hi, the problem you are having sounds like the differential needs replacing this can be expensive and hard work but not doing this can cause further damage to your vehicle so its better get it done sooner rather than later.
If on the other hand your only getting a vibration through the steering wheel then this could be that the wheels need balancing.
You should know which of the two problems you have if you need further assistance then just let me know ok

Bring it back to the transmission shop and have them test drive it with the scanner to see if the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) needs to be replaced. A worn TPS will case the transmission to have shifting problems, the TPE sends voltage signals to the PCM and will control the transmission shift points and firmness. If the TPS has a flat spot and the voltage is down at the point where the transmission needs to shift, there may be a conflict of shift program and needs to be addressed. Good luck and keep me posted.
