The numbers on the radio screen after pressing 1 & 6 are the serial number to retrieve the radio code!

The 4 digit number on the glovebox is probably the radio code, keep pressing preset number 1 until the first number is on the screen, then press preset number 2 until the second number is on the screen, then press preset number 3 until the third number is on the screen, then press preset number 4 until the fourth number is on the screen!

SOURCE: Navigation Code

True.  It is in the trunk under the plastic carpet.  You need to remove the bolts from the navi dvd and flip it over.  Write down the serial number and go back to the dealer.  Show registration of car and have car with you.  On 2005 and up cars with navi the tech can go to a secret tech screen and get the serial number.

SOURCE: I have a 1999 Acura

Take your registration and title to a dealership and they can look it up for you based on the VIN number of the car. They may charge you up to an hour's labor for doing this though, so make sure they give you the code written down on a card you can keep, and they also show you how to enter it. Otherwise, you'll have to go back and pay again if power is interrupted in the future.

SOURCE: Acura TSX 2005 radio code

I had the same problem when I had my battery replaced. I guess the mechanic tried to enter the code.... and after 10 tries he failed of course, and the system locked itself and gave the ERROR message.
All you need to do is leave the system on for an hour (Yes, leave it on... meaning you most likely need to drive around for an hour... and sit in the car for an hour doing nothing....) Then the ERROR message will change back to CODE (you will hear a long beep)
Now you can enter your code. Remember do it slowly. Enter the key 1 by 1... Do not input quickly, otherwise it will not work
Hope this helps!

Acura how do you reset code for dead battery

What are you trying to reset, navigation, Radio? Both? In some previous models the codes are on the side of the glove box when you open it on a sticker. Mine was missing so I went online and requested a code with my vin number.

Because thereare hundreds of number combinations possible from the five

You should have received a radio code card that lists your audio system's code and serial numbers. {glove box find}
It is best to store this card in a safe place at home. In addition, youshould write the audio system's serial number in this owner's manual.

If you lose the card, you must obtain the code number from your dealer.
To do this, you will need the audio system's serial number.

If your vehicle's battery is disconnected or goes dead, or the radio
fuse is removed, the audio system will disable itself. If this happens,
you will see ''ENTER CODE'' in the frequency display (on the screen on models with navigation system) the next time you turn on the system.
Use the preset buttons to enter the five-digit code. The code is on the radio code card included in your owner's manual kit.
When it is entered correctly, the radio will start playing.

If you make a mistake entering the code, do not start over; complete the
five-digit sequence, then enter the correct code. You have 10 tries toenter the correct code.
If you are unsuccessful in 10 attempts, you
must then leave the system on for 1 hour before trying again.

The system will retain your AM and FM presets even if power is disconnected. {only on newer cars'

How do you input radio code on acura tl 2004 if it says erre?

Look for the code on the outer left side of the glove box, top number is the code, the bottom number is the serial. Just saved you some time and money. Now if you could explain how to get the radio to prompt code entry instead of error. Tried removing fuse under the hood and disconnecting the battery terminal to prompt code entry, to no avail.

How to get code for 2005 acura tl radio code

just had this happen to me, you need to find the radio serial number, if you bought from a dealer then they should have put the number on the glove box plastic frame inside the glove box. If it is not there nor in your manual then you will have to take it in and get your radio taken out to see the serial number on the back of the actual radio. Once you find the serial number you can call any Acura dealer and give them the radio serial number and they will give you the code.
