I sugtes ask your local dealer or look on eBay some Haynes Manual.
This truck is quite old & no one stocks any parts for it or has any reference material for it any longer! I am hoping someone on Fixya has an old repair manual lying around, so if you do thats great if not then u aren't really helping are you?
I understand your frustration, however, if any of the other experts located around the world has this information or documentation, it is very likely that you do get the proper guidance.

Are you taking about the rubber mount bushings? You can get replacements at your local Dodge dealer, or you could opt for a 2" body lift which comes with new mounts.

No difference in transmissions at all between single cab and extra cab.

A FORD EQUIPED WITH DUAL TANKS THIS YEAR MODEL HAS CHECK VALVES IN THE FUEL PUMPS .THE FUEL RUNS FROM THE REAR TANK WHEN IT IS POWERED ON TO A TEE AND INTO THE SAME LINE AS THE FRONT PUMP . THE PROBLEM IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FRONT FUEL PUMP THERE IS A CHECK VALVE ON THE FOOT AND IT IS NOT WORKING.WHILE THE TRUCK IS RUNNING WITH THE REAR FUEL PUMP ON IT IS PUMPING FUEL INTO THE FRONT TANK . IT WILL RUN OUT OF THE NECK WHEN IT IS FULL.THE FIX IS SIMPLE REPLACE THE FRONT FUEL PUMP. THEY DONT MAKE A CHECK VALVE REPLACEMENT I CHECKED I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU.
