I've had this happen once before..CDR's are a little bigger than regular cd's.Sometimes they wont let go at all..You either can undo the battery and then reconnect then it usually automatically ejects or you'll have to manually do it or you can pull the fuse and then put it back in and the same proceedure..

I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.

I had this same exact problem. i found a blown fuse in the panel on the drivers side just inside the door well (On the end of the dash on the driver's side) . to save me I do not remember which one buy as I recall it w as a 15 amp fuse. That fixed the problem. you will need the code from the factory to reset the radio.

it needs to be programed to your vehicle. we have to program every replacement radio we install at the dealership. only takes a few mins.

You could try resetting it by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, or pulling the fuse.
The same thing happened to me. I took the dash out and got to the disc
changer and took the cd out... seems to be working fine now. This always happens when try to put a CD in before the player
can catch it. The trick is to press the LOAD button, wait for the GREEN
light, and then insert the CD. Try that.
This is a "mechanical error" and is probably due to a jammed disk. If the previous task dont work, once
you get it I think the only solution is to pull the audio unit and
replace it or repair it. Your dealer will have access to a hotline for specific audio related problems. Sorry I could'nt help you more!
