Code 505 is for a problem with the idle air control valve.
It could be the valve, or a dirty throttle body, or a problem in the harness.
If you replaced the IAC and the throttle body is clean, and the code remains, you probably need to open the harness and check the wires.

2003 Dodge Durango (5.9L V8) won't stay running unless you keep your foot on the gas.

Check temp sensor and TPS, throttle positioning sensor. The power control module,"pcm.is a possible thought.Just check all connections. It is always a good idea to spray WD 40 or equivalent in the connections.

I hooked my truck up to a sensor and got back po0505. thats the throttle sensor. its causing the engine to stop idling sometimes. anyone help me out with how to fix it?

If it is your throttle position sensor it will be located on the throttle body. This sensor tells the Control Module the position of the throttle plate to adjust fuel air mixture accordingly. It is held on by 2 screws and a connector.Remove the screws and disconnect the connector.I would also recommend that you have it tested by your local service station for proper operation before replacing it since they are a little pricey.

Have the idle air control valve checked, if that is ok, then further testing needs to be done to find the problem.

1999 dodge stratus car runs for awhile then dies check engine light comes on code P0505

P0505: Idle Air Control System

There is a small motor that controls the amount of air the engine gets when you aren't using the throttle. The computer uses this small motor to control your idle. It sounds like it needs to be replaced. You can try cleaning it first with some throttle body & air intake cleaner.

Engine Code P0505

After the IAC is replaced it is not enough to clear the code you must also reset the IAC learned adaptive. To do this you will need a higher end scanner like snap-on or such.

1996 dodge ram 1500....p0505

p0505 is a code for your IAC (idle air control valve) located right below the TPS (throttle positioning sensor). Beware it is not necessarily the sensor. If you use a test light on the connection coming to it while the vehicle is running and rev the motor each terminal (probably four) should flash. In this case it is most likely your sensor. If not it is in the wiring or your pcm.
