Janet, top up your coolant in the coolant reservoir/expansion tank it is the rounded bottle closer to the shock tower.. Remove Blue or Black cap when engine cold and top up, run engine till warm and recheck after cool and top up again if necessary. Make sure to have leak repaired sooner then later to prevent future costly repair.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

esp switch is located to the right of the steering column marked esp and an orange light on the dash, ESP OFF,it is not fitted in all markets due to litigation from drivers who dont know how to use it.....just telling people what it does, does not teach them how to use it and when.....
Your automatic choke warrants a look at and adjusting. If the air filter looks like its full of dust Etc' get it replaced. Clogged air filters will ruin your fuel efficiency no end.Find someone who knows what to look for.
first of all not an easy job,you need to get the front grill off and look upwards for a cover that will be covering up the bonnet catch, basicly bend or pull this off,you should then see were the cable goes in,then you should be able to bar the catch with a screwdriver to release it. best of luck
Possibly air in the fuel lines. Possibly Fuel Injection Pump Case Relief Valve has come apart (funny looking ,10mm bolt with 2 round sides on left side of Injection Pump). Great site for TDIs - www.tdiclub.com - forum thread on this very problem. Great people will help get you going.
Have you checked the wiper motor and linkages to make sure they are properly lubricated? Take care to keep your fingers clear of the (hopefully) moving parts! Your typical can of maintenance spray might get them going initially, but grease is really needed in the long run. D.
