Have a 2005 Cheverolet Silverado 4.3 Liter V6 Truck, was driving down the road and it kept cutting out all of a sudden, thought it was bad gasoline so I stopped and put new gas in the truck would not crank back up waited a couple of minutes then it started up drove about a mile down the road when it completely shut off and will not crank again. Replaced fuel pump, coil, plugs & wires, distributor, distributor cap & rotary button still will not start. What else could it be?

Do you have a 4 wheel drive, is it in 4 wheel drive and are you driving on dry roads? Very very bad for the 4 wheel drive transfer case.

If not, it could be the CV joints, the engine, the transmission, very bad Gasoline.
If it's during braking then it's the Anti-lock brake system engaging when it's not supposed to.

When is last time you changed trans fluid and filter?

there are many V6s in this world some are weak and some are very powerful, comparing them is not useful. (at all)

check the wires on the feed to the fuel pump ,,also check that it hasnt got the cut out thingy on top of the fuel tank like the ford explorer,unless this is only fitted on the europeon models .?

this is a problem i had, i then pulled out all fuses and put back in and it went away. sounds messed up but when corrosion starts it will give bad connections on the fuses.

Are you getting any spark from the coil? The first thing you need to narrow down is the spark. The ignition system on this truck will run without the computer. It cranks over just fine right?

Hey Dave......Try pulling the ECM Fuse for about 5 Min. to reset the Computer and see what we get. Let me know so that we can go Further if Needed!

these vortech motors have a spider fuel delivery , prone to leak and fuel regulator also problematic , smell fuel under the hood after cranking ? get both parts , experience with repair is suggested
