How to fix the drive linkage on a 95 chevy blazer

Going down the road between 30 and 70 mph and it seems like my blazer slips into neutral the engine starts reving up when i push the gas as if its in neutral for a while then kicks back into gear also when this happens and i have to stop at a light or anything it seems like when im taking of i have no power at all the vehicle just creeps forward gradually picking up speed until it semingly slips back into neutral i know its not sliping into neutral im wondering if it could be my drive linkage and if so how hard is it to replace?

SOURCE: Stalling And Engine Revving

Sounds like a transmission problem. My car was doing that and it turns out it had a transmission fluid leak that had led to major transmission damage. The bad news: the entire transmission had to be rebuilt.

SOURCE: my truck loses power

In most cases it is the fuel filter. I don't know when it was changed before, but it should be changed at least every 8-10 k miles. Make sure you change the air filter too.

SOURCE: Chevy Trailblazer Engine very loud when starting

it's too early to tell. i,ve never known a light to come on because of a thermostat.you need to see what code was stored. without knowing,im just guessing. but my first thought was a plugged up catalytic converter. that explains the low power, also fuel filter.

My 2008 Chevy Silverado will not shift out of Drive. I turned off the engine in Drive and now it won't start (since it is still in Drive). What is wrong with it???

Well. could be a number of things... One Transmission shift cable... with the salt cold and road debris it could be frozen... This is assuming that shift lever is not moving.. Let me know if thats the case and I will go into further detail which ever direction you give me

Blazer not responding to the accelerator, won't rev up

I'm actually going through the same thing, after i just had my fuel pump replaced. Mine turned out to be my Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) which when not working properly has the same effects as your acceleration not working.

There is a loud noise at 45mph.

Find a quiet empty stretch of road. Go 50 mph, put the trans in NEUTRAL and shut the engine. If noise is still there, swing car left and right to detect noise differences. Could be hub or axle bearings. Not engine or trans if noise is still there. Hope this helps

Rattling noise

I have a 98 blazer that makes similar sounds but it's pieces of the dust shield off the rear wheel assembly that got down inside the brake rotor. Only happens when the truck is going forward
