Going down the road between 30 and 70 mph and it seems like my blazer slips into neutral the engine starts reving up when i push the gas as if its in neutral for a while then kicks back into gear also when this happens and i have to stop at a light or anything it seems like when im taking of i have no power at all the vehicle just creeps forward gradually picking up speed until it semingly slips back into neutral i know its not sliping into neutral im wondering if it could be my drive linkage and if so how hard is it to replace?
SOURCE: Stalling And Engine Revving
Sounds like a transmission problem. My car was doing that and it turns out it had a transmission fluid leak that had led to major transmission damage. The bad news: the entire transmission had to be rebuilt.

In most cases it is the fuel filter. I don't know when it was changed before, but it should be changed at least every 8-10 k miles. Make sure you change the air filter too.

it's too early to tell. i,ve never known a light to come on because of a thermostat.you need to see what code was stored. without knowing,im just guessing. but my first thought was a plugged up catalytic converter. that explains the low power, also fuel filter.

check fluid level, make sure proper fluid is in transmission otherwise take to trans shop to diagnse if level and type is correct(check at idle normal operating temp)

check the play in the pinion gear bearing on the rear end i think! you will find the yoke ie lose and also the bearing has excessive play and needs ro be changed
