I LOVE VW's. The problem is inside your drivers door! Search online for window control module! Everything in the door is connected to the power window motor!

When in gear door locks

If the interior door handle doesn't open the door, then you have a push bar loose or bent inside the door. If once you unlock the door from the outside you can use the interior door handle to open the door, then you either have a bad lock unlock relay, or the door lock unlock actuator itself is bad.

98 golf cabrio central locking and key operated windows are going haywire. When trying to lock the car with the key the doors lock then unlock then all windows besides drivers will go down then if you...

Look for a vacuum leak under the rubber bellows at the door hinge area. This generation VW had vacuum actuated loor locks and the connections could come apart, typically in the hinge areas where flex occurs.

The key on my 1999 volkswagen beetle is stuck in the door lock. As the key was held in the unlock position both windows were rolled down. No amount of jiggling or turning and twisting can get the key out....

dont know if you recd my previous so again...unlock/hold over windows go down,lock/hold over windows go up/sunroof closes.(alarm/immobiliser resets)....key stuck in lock, pull hard when upright, moving the key up/down when pulling, should do it.also bootlid lock two positions, turn left, then release or turn right and release, see what happens......(boot isolation from the central locking)

Mk3 golf when central locking is activted the electric windows go

you have just found this out.it is a standard feature of all vw/audi/seat/skoda cars
unlock/hold key over, the windows will go down
lock/hold key over the windows will go up
then unlock the car with the remote, car reset.
sit in car with engine on,switch off engine(do not open any door)driver can open/close any window(you can even put your hand into window frame and it will rollback, all on its(not for fun)
if windows rollback after you have used button to close them you may have sticky runners/rubbers.
this is not in the hand book, tell all your friends.....only a german car.....

Windows keep going down and doors unlocking after doors get locked by key or by remote and constantly making noise as if locking procedure is in process

this is a std feature....no really, its what vw call safety rollback... to reset ...take key out of ignition, lock car, leave for 15secs,then unlock car with key.holding key over untill all windows are down fully then take key out wait 15 secs put key back into door and lock car, windows will shut hopefully all the way this time...if you put your hand in whilst closing window it will "rollback"with key in ignition... NOT DOOR.

My door handle wont open my door on the drivers side. I have to roll down my window to open the door from the outside latch. Is it repairable, or do I have to replace any parts?

I have shaved door handles on a 2000 chevy silverado and the drivers side door just recently stopped opening it seems like its completely locked out and the door is closed so i cannot get to the bolts of the latch assembly when i hit the unlock button it unlocks half way and when you go to open the door it relocks itself even if you manually try to unlock the door and hold the lock forward it still wont open

WINDOWS COME DOWN BY THENM SELF NO ALARM GOES OFF DOORS ALSO UNLOCKS

if you hold the key in the trunk or drivers door, to the unlocked position for a few seconds the doors will unlock and the windows will all go down. usually when this happens by its self the body controll module is to blame. it could be the electrics on the drivers door lock broke in the unlock possition. the door handel/lock is a nightmare to replace. i would get a used body controll module and plug it in and try that first

2002 Nissan Altima windows roll down by themselves w/no key in

You need a body control computer, which controls the windows, door locks and other items. The new computer will have to be programed by a good imports shop or Nissan dealer.
