Electrical problem for 98 chevy cav

I have a 1998 Chevy Cavalier. I recently had to replace the battery ground wire and since then when ever i put it into gear the lights flicker, the abs warning light, e-brake light, and ets off light are always on. The daytime running lights are also blinking. Also the battery, oil, low traction, seatbelt and low coolant light will come on. I cant find any loose wires. What is wrong?

98 chevy cavalier 2.2....replaced starter...car wont turn over..no clicking...battery ok. car will start by jump starting the starter with a screw driver...replaced fuses...any idea what could be wrong?

Sounds like bad battery cables and/or ignition switch. I would clean battery cables thoroughly with wire brush especially the bottom end since they're exposed to road grime, etc... Also check to make sure you put small wires on solenoid on correctly. I've seen people get them reversed because they're looking at them upside down when attaching from under car. More than likely it's those small wires on solenoid.

Where is the signal flasher located on a 98 chevy cav.

Try below the steering column under the dash area.
1996-00 Vehicles Fig. 3: Turn/hazard flasher location - 1996-00 vehicles 91146g12.gif
The turn and hazard flashers are integrated into one flasher on these models. The flasher is located on a bracket above the brake pedal. Replace the flasher by unplugging the old one, removing it from the bracket, and plugging in the new one.

98 chevy cavaler want to test electric fan but how?

Unplug it, and run a wire to your positive battery post, and another to a good ground, and it should go.

Wires to 1996 chevy cav starter

Most chevy cars have 3 wires. I main wire that comes from the battery. Another a little smaller wire that goes to the same post in the center of the starter solinoid. And 1 small wire that goes to the smaller threaded post on the side.
