My 2000 dodge neon shut down the other day and i thought it was an electrical problem but i have two codes p 1685 and p 1193. I found out that p 1685 is a malfunting oil pump. so im assuming that there is a shut down sensor and untill the oil pump is replaceed the computer will not allow there to be spark to the plugs until code is cleared. I have all ready ordered a new intake temp sensor for the p 1193 code in hopes of clearing that code as well. Just need to know if there are any other details i should be concerned with before changeing oil pump. thanks

Charlie. You have replaced the ECM on your van?.
Kedwin,, Your problem is, the computer on that 3.3 L.
Need to be programed with the VIN nember of your car.
The Antitheft System will disable the injectors due a incorrect VIN, Bucause the body computer is not recieve the correct pasword between 5 seconds after start up.
YOU have 2 options. 1 get a ALOHA Smith. some of they have the computer required to program ECMs.
The other option is: Get a new ECM from the dealer, They will program if ask for that.
NOTE:::::: Other way is . Put the body control module with the computer from the same car.
OK... I hope this work for yours.
If NOT letme know I can look for more information.
Thank you.

SOURCE: engine code p0700 need help
I have been diving into my factory service manual, and the P0700 should have another trans trouble code stored with it, a "Generic" code reader may not be able to read the other trans code, if it after a trip to the dealer to sort out this code turns up nothing (no other stored codes) then there may be a problem in the TCM (Transmission control module) so u should get this to the dealer and have them read the codes and report them to u.

SOURCE: 2004 Dodge Neon SXT, added new battery need code to reset car
if you are the original owner, look in your paperwork. if you cant get to the original owner or they dont have the info, you can go to your dealer, and they can reset it for you. and charge you
or you can just start entering codes till it works, which will take you weeks or more.
good luck
