Just bought a used toyota, and when i went to get it inspected, discovered that the headlights do not work. neither brights or main lamps will turn on, however when i pull the lever that the headlight switch is located on, lights will flash on. bulbs are in working order, and as far as i can tell nothing is wrong with the headlight or headlight assembly. what could possibly be wrong? i've looked on the internet all day and haven't really found a similar problem. i'm just looking for a place to start, but a detailed explanation would be welcome.
Check the connection to your fog lights switch. Also check that fog lights switch is not faulty! Headlights and this switch are in the same circuit! The symptoms are exactly as stated.
May be a relay or fuse or a faulty switch
Do you have any idea where the relay for the headlights is located? Please be as detailed as possible. Also the fuses appear to be fine
hi they are normally in with the fuses if you have a drivers hand book it should tell you there also as i was thinking on it could be a faulty switch might sound stupid but get some one to stand in front of lights and then jiggle the light switch to see if they are flickering apart from that wiring thats where it get expensive
