Timing is over ******** on bank 1. Could be a faulty position sensor or the timing mechanism is stretched making Bank 1 ******** compared to Bank 2.

I hope my solution helps, perhaps the Auto place providing you with the trouble Code can explain what you need to do to make a repair.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6. Getting a P0320 after installing a timing chain with no start.

Question edited for clarity.

The timing is messed up. Normally it has to be TDC on the Compression Stroke of Cylinder 1. It is a FOUR stroke engine so there are 4 lots of TDC. Or you lock everything using a timing kit, which locks the crank and the cam sprockets..

A P0320 code indicates an issue with the signal that indicates the speed of the engine. This means that the ECM (engine control module) doesn't know where the crankshaft or camshaft is, so it isn't able to distribute fuel or fire spark plugs at the right time.

Does anyone know97 Honda Odyssey with code P1361 Tdc?

P-Power Train
1-Manufacturer Specified Code (Honda)
3-Ignition System, Misfire
6-Component or Sub-System Section
1-Component or Sub-System Section

P1361 is: Intermittent Interruption In TDC 1 Sensor Circuit.
Check out the TDC sensor, connector 124 (grey and on the distributor) check power and grounds. It's missing a signal from the TDC sensor in the distributor and causing a misfire.

Dodge dakota 3.9 v6 year 2000 where should rotor point to on cap when cam gear dot at6 and crank gear dot at 12 and on tdc compression stroke it points to number 4 on cap when cam dot at 6 o clock

Make sure you are on the compression stroke. At TDC of compression stroke, the rotor should be pointing to number 1 on the cap. Either you are on the exhaust stroke, or the distributor is 180 degrees off and needs to be reset.

1987 Chevy k5 Blazer, heats up. The manifold gets a cherry red, and the plug wires started to melt.

check the timing of the ignition as hot exhaust is a good indication of retarded ignition timing. Fire coming out past the exhaust valves because the mixture ha been ignited too late. Have this check out fast as you run the risk of burnt valves . The timing should be about 12 degrees before TDC not 12 degrees after TDC. IT will be the cause of the engine getting hot as well.

Timing chain replacement

there will be two highlighted or dotted chain links for the camshaft and one for the crankshaft gear, position cam dot/TDC indicator in the 12-O clock position, the two dotted links should be on ether side of cam dot, turn crank dot to the 6-O clock position and line up highlighted link with dot on crank gear, if timing cover is on, then make sure cylinder 1 is at TDC when the two links are at 12-O clock.
