2007 cobalt engine hesitating during acceleration

Cobalt has approx 14K miles. Always keep oil changed per specs. last 2k miles engine is hesitating ( spitting and sputtering) during acceleration. Engine doesn't have the smooth acceleration that it used to have. What could be causing this issue. Thanks

My Cobalt is doing the same thing. Anytime the RPM's go below 1.5 it sputters and it feels like it is going to die. I press on the gas pedal and it has a real hard time "going".

flight jerking during acceleration going up hills are on highway

When I slightly accelerate from 30-40 MPH my 2008 impala ltz hesitates and sputters, almost like a back fire. When I accelerate harder and get the rims up a little the hesitation goes away. What should I be checking to resolve the issue. Car runs excellent otherwise..

2007 Dodge Caliber 2.0 hesitation during acceleration

run the fault codes and see which sensor is going out.

Code P0013

Pretty common. First, if you have not already done so, have a parts store reset the engine light. sometimes the solenoid sticks under hard acceleration and the problem is very intermittent. if it recurs, doesn't necessarily mean the solenoid is bad. Change your oil if it's been more than 5000 miles or 6 months, as buildup can cause this. Be sure to use the recommended oil per the manufacturer. If the issue returns continuously then you may well need to visit a reputable garage.

Do you need to service/change oil and filter on a 2008 cobalt with an auto tranny

yes u do, the oil in the engine should be changed every 3-5,000 miles depending on what type of driving u do, stop and go is every 3,000, more highway, then every 5,000, the transmission must be serviced with a new fluid and filter every 60,000 miles

Chevy cobalt ls is getting a slower take off

Throw in some racing fuel to clean out your injectors or even run your gas all the way out and throw in injector cleaner with supreme gas then run that tank empty before filling up again.

2008 Chevy Cobalt, just changed the oil last week and the change oil soon message keeps staying on. How do I reset, have not had a problem before on oil changes car has 12,000 miles

There are a couple of options for clearing the light depending on the features you have on your Cobalt.
If you have a DIC (driver information center) located in the bottom center of your instrument panel cluster or speedometer area, you should have a mode and set button to the left of the steering column. You can use the mode button to scroll through the options until you find the "oil life" percentage the us the set button, push and hold until you see the 100% displayed.

If you do not have the DIC, you can turn the ignition key to the "run" position ( do not start the car) and push the accelerator pedal to the floor and back 3 times in a row then turn the key off. That should clear the light for you.
Good luck and let me know.
