This is something new about my Odyssey. I have seen it three times when the air conditioner is turned on it blows hot air and the LED indicators on the control buttons for the air conditioner go off and a few seconds later you feel cold air coming out of the unit and it fixes itself.
This website www.reliable-store.com has the largest collection of
repair, service, parts manuals of any vehicle on earth. Best website I came across for manuals.. Very helpful website

you may have an air mix motor problem or a mode control motor problem. there is a test you can do that may help: 1. turn the ignition switch on. 2. turn the fan switch off. 3. press the recirc control button to select recirc (recirc indicator light comes on.) 4. press and hold the recirc button to select fresh (recirc indicator goes off). Continue to hold the the button down until the recirc indicator comes on for two seconds and then goes off. If the system is okay, the recirc indicator will stay off. If there is a problem, the recirc indicator blinks a code to indicate a fault. 1 blink=air mix control motor/circuit fault. 2 blinks= mode control motor/circuit fault. 3 blinks= evaporator temp sensor circuit fault. In case of multiple problems, the recirc indicator will only blink the code with the least number. write back if this test shows a code and we'll go from there.

SOURCE: AC STOPPED BLOWING COLD; ONLY BLOWS ON MAX MANUAL SETTING
Your AC is low on refrigerant; The AC compressor needs a minimum amount of regrigerant to run. If and when it does run (while low on refrigerant) the air coming out of the vents will not be cold. The refrigerant you require is R-134A and is available over the counter but if you are the least bit unsure as to how to add refrigerant, taking it to a garage that does AC recharging would be your best play. If you want to try to add refrigerant on your own you will need the following, 1LB can of R-134A, an AC hose adapter to deliver the refrigerant, and preferably an AC pressure guage to ensure you are not overfilling the AC line which will damage the system.
