Lights on dashboard 2002alero GL

Is this one of the 3 lights in the lowest corner of the display? These 3 lights are for the 3 following functions.
-(Top lamp). Speed limiter Light.
-(Bottom left lamp). Trans Axle warning light.
-(Bottom right lamp). Oil Pressure Warning light.
This sounds like it could be the speed limiter. Check for any switches on the dashboard and the steering column for switches with the same logo as the speed limiter light as this can flash to show it is active.
The Trans Axle warning is the systems electronics showing there is a possible issue with the transmission.
The Oil Pressure light shows there is an issue with the oil system such as low oil or low oil pressure in the engine.
You will often find the Trans axle and Oil warning lights usually don't flash.

if all else works. does it>
then you blew a fuse.
check all fuses. cab and engine bay PDC.
if you have FSM , it shows exactly what fuse runs what.
some fuses run up to 20 things.

Do any lights in the ac control head work for illumination ?

WRONG BULB IN REAR OR BAD GROUND.CHECK GROUNDS

Check your battery connections and try jumping it sounds like faulty charging system either bad connection,battery or alternator auto zone will test alternator and battery for free. Culprit is probably bad connection at battery terminal wiggle and watch for light fluctuation on dash.Clean to shine at connection.Hope this helps.

Remove dash and make sure main electrical plug is snapped in place .Also look for a lose ground wire.

remove the gage assembly and replace light bulb. the shift indicator is a clear LCD screen that has one or two lights shine through it to display image. replace bulbs should work just fine.

have tried all the switches to make sure they are working or turning off when doors ect shut

There is a dimmer for the dashboard lights on the dash. Make sure it is up. If all the other warning lights come on on the dash as well, then your ignition switch needs replaced.

Semi-solved. It looks to be some sort of headlight warning. Fog lights?
I'm still investigating.
