SOURCE: 1989 mazda mx6 brake fluid leaking

That is your clutch master cylinder leaking. it will leak inside and cause a big mess. They cost between 47.00 and 75.00 depending on the manufacturer and where you buy it from.  PBR's (an after market manufacturer) part number is JG83-41-400.

SOURCE: Brakes make a stuttering noise

I have had the same problem with my 2003 Mazda 6. It was a misaligned abs sensor on the passenger side wheel.

SOURCE: on my 2006 mazda tribute,

Hello and thanks for the question,
The anti lock brakes system is somewhat complex. There are many reasons as to why the ABS lamp flashed on and the back off ( ie. Wheel speed sensors, relays, poor power supply, bad grounds). There's really no other way of telling without haveing the codes retrieved from the ABS module( computer).

1995 Suzuki Sidekick JS brake petal slowly creeps down with engine running. I need help determining if it's the ABS Hydraulic Unit or the porportioning valve?

For the time being it is best to assume the abs unit is ok - because it almost always is and is very expensive.

If it is the proportioning valve the leak will be external so there will be fluid under the car and the level in the reservoir will fall and you surely would have noticed. These too are quite reliable when they aren't seizing...

I suggest you take a look in the fluid reservoir and I wager the fluid is discoloured and there is probably a layer of black sludge at the bottom.
Excluding external leaks, a creeping brake pedal is almost always the master cylinder seals, the leak is usually internal and so the fluid just leaks back into the reservoir so there is no fluid loss...

Why is my ABS system kicking on for no reason on my 2009 trailblazer?

There is ALWAYS a reason.
Reasons that the ABS light will illuminate:
  1. Brake pads, brake shoes, rotors, or drums worn beyond allowable specification;
  2. Brake fluid level low, or brake fluid leaking;
  3. Failed ABS control unit;
  4. Failed ABS sensors at wheels

Why my front brakes are overheating after I replaced/serviced the rear brakes pads ?

Several possibilities exist. Most likely is that you did NOT open the bleeder valves in the rear calipers when you retacted the pistons in the rear calipers. This forces old, dirty, contaminated brake fluid back up into the system. This debris is now stuck in either the ABS control unit or the master cylinder and is causing the front brakes to be slightly applied at all times. You can try to THROUGHLY flush out the brake fluid to remove the contamination. It will take about a gallon of brake fluid to do this. That "might" fix the problem. Otherwise, you need to figure out if the problem is with the master cylinder or the ABS control unit and replace the bad unit.

I have a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville. Brake Fluid is leaking from ABS box. What to do?

if you have fluid that is only leaking from the abs unit and the brake lines are all tight and not leaking at the unit then you have an abs unit leak and it will have to be replaced and bleed as well as the entire system should be bled to get all the air out.the unit may have to be bled by the use of a scan tool with the capablility to bleed the unit electronically

Line broke was leaking fluid then stopped leaking . no fluid comes out of abs unit on frame. is there a way to reset the abs unit to get fluid to rear brakes again

Replace the broken line then, you must bleed the entire brake system , each wheel works by itself on these cars, . Put the rearend in the air get the tires off and then find where the lines go into the ABS unit. Bleed fliud there first, then the individual wheel cylinders in the rear. after you bleed the system, check to make sure the brake system is balanced.

Where do we find the place to put the clutch/gear fluid for a manual transmission for my mazda mx-6 1993.

The clutch on mazda cars shares the same fluid reservoir as the brakes. Bleeding the clutch is just like the brakes. The clutch slave cylinder is on the front side of the transaxle. You can find it by following the line from the master cylinder that does not go to the ABS unit/brakes. bleed just like brakes, you have to pump cl utch to get are out of it.

mcdevito75, I have heard of 2 different type axles being used on Mazdas, the important thing though is the fluid leak. Have your local repair shop take a look and fix this leak.

Brake fluid transfer from Master pump to ABS pump

hi from uk if you are saying that the brake master cylinder reservoir fluid is falling in level? and that there is signes that fluid is leaking from the ABS hydraulic master cylinder ie fluid is leaking from the arpeture where the electrics wiring loom enters then there is probably one of the piston/valve seals leaking within abs assy ? or is leak from somewhere else? not had this problem before with fluid passing from abs assy resulting in reservoir losing fluid in this way?
