Intermittent speedo for 1991 Honda accord but odometer & trip ok

Odometer & trip is working. Speedometer cuts out at 20-25 mph after initial morning start. If I keep driving, check engine light comes on. If I turn car off & start driving again speedo works, then cuts out at 20-35 mph.
Speed sensor was changed (with original Honda part) a cpoule of years ago.
Hope you can helps.
Thanks,
Will.

1996 honda accord odometer not working the speedometer works but the odometer doesn't also the trip meter doesnt work either just all of a sudden stopped working

Hello,

Were you able to fix your problem? I'm having the same issue with my car, where the Odometer intermittently jumps from 0-48. At times when I start driving the engine stalls and the Odometer starts to act up. The Egine Light is always on. I would appreciate any help.

The odometer and trip odometer for my 1996 ford explorer stop working. However, the speed still works. Any suggestions??

The gear in the speedometer assembly is broken causing the odometer and trip odometer to be inop. You can either buy a new speedo head or buy a gear kit from an online source (google Ford speedo odometer inop)for the kit.

My probles is the spedomometer no funtion

If your odometer is working but you have no speedo check your connection at the speed sensor first. Is your Check engine light on?
If so check for speed sensor codes. if your odometer & speedo are both out your may be having a problem in your sppedo head which will require repair or replacement.

1995 honda accord speedometer and odometer not working

Sounds like either your speedometer cable, your nylon gear on the side of the tranny where the cable ties in, or the odometer itself is shot. One of those three will set you straight. If you are able, remove the cluster, take the cable off the back, and pull it out of the sheath. You will see if its broken or not from there. If not, slide it back into the sheath, then you have to find out where the sheath meets the tranny, and pull it off of there. Then, you can get someone else to watch the speedo as you turn the cable from the bottom. If it works, great, if not, then its your cluster/odometer/speedo. If it does work, the small gear in the transmission is shot.

1991 Dodge Daytona Speedometer and Odometer not working.

I had the same problem with my 90 daytona. The tach and the speedometer would work intermitantly. I took the whole gauge cluster out, and heated all the soldering with a solder gun to reflow the connections. It seems that this is a common problem with the connections cracking. You may not be able to see the cracks in the solder.
