1999 Chevy Blazer Sometimes start

I have 99 Chevy Blazer. I never know when its gonna start. Some times it starts fine days in a row and then other days it wont start at all..Ive had to keep it running so Im able to use it. There was a new fuel pump put in it bout 5 months ago, as well as a fuel filter. Any Ideas?

how do i tell if it has enough pressure?

It didnt start yesterday morning, then it started all day yesterday and its been starting all day today. If the fuel pressure was the issue wouldnt it do that all the time and never want to start?

NO  fools the computer sometimes Next time that it wont start try spraying starting fluid into the air intake. If it runs you know its a fuel problem.

With a fuel pressure gauge.  Fuel pressure tester on the fuel line going to throttle body or fuel rail there is a fitting looks like a valve stem twist off cap screw on the tester . Not sure of the pressure maybe call the dealer for that.

It may still be the fuel pump not enough fuel pressure.

    Maybe a defective fuel pump.

I had the same problem with my 99 blazer, turned out to be a cracked distributor cap. if left outside instead of in the garage the problem was occuring more often.

Why my 1999 Chevy Blazer 4.3, engine starts, runs about 5 second, dies and then won't start, if you wait 10 minutes it starts and runs fine, this happens once every few weeks/months or twice in one da

You may be having an intermittent failure with the fuel pressure regulator - checking the fuel pressure when the truck won't start may pinpoint this problem. If the pressure looks OK, this same problem can be caused by the ignition system as well (ignition coil or control module).

It can be your mounting house for your spark plugs how to change it ?how to cheak it ? Well there should be 2 or 3 bolts holding it take the bolts out turn on your truck and remove it like you would if it was a cap in the inside should spin if doesent then thats another problem it wouldn't be your mounting house that will be a snapped little belt in the inside of motor not really sure what's it called. So back to your mounting house disconnect all ur spark plugs only connected to the mounting house ( remember we're they go) then remove the bolts and put the new one

1999 Chevy Blazer 4.3L engine has an electronic EGR valve its in front of and below the intake manifold a cylinder looking part connected to a small wiring harness. It is bolted on with 2 10mm bolts alot of times a piece of carbon will get stuck in the pintle at the bottom of the EGR valve and will keep it open causing a large vacuum leak making it hard or impossible to start. Good luck.
