Check air filter or eoplace battery if more than 4 years old.

SOURCE: 1992 1500 will not start

even though the relay clicked dosn't mean that it's good it could be weak and therefore the gate inside the relay doesn't make a contact to allow the voltage to the pump. i would switch out the relay. quick way to find out for sure is to switch the a/c clutch relay with the fuel pump relay. it should start if it doesn't then you have a loose wire to the pump or a broken wire aor a bad ground. check these out.. please rate this..thanks

SOURCE: what is the best after market fuel pump for my 1992 camaro rs v8?

Regardless of what you buy, if you keep the car long enough you will do it again. if you want to go better than oem, get a holley or something along those lines. I've heard of Airtex and really haven't heard much good or bad about them. Key to making a pump last is to use good clean fuel and having a clean fuel tank, with no rust in it.

I have a 1992 camaro RS 305 with 5 speed. It will turn over but won't start, if you pour gas in throttle body it will fire right up and run like it should. I put in new fuel pump, new ECU, new TPS, still...

If you turn the key to the on position and you hear the fuel pump run, does it run for longer then 5 seconds? If so then you are going to need to look at your fuel filter, if it stays running then you are going to need to look at your fuel regulator. You can also go to Auto Zone and buy a fuel pressure test kit or rent one, and check your fuel pressure on the fuel rails. Check for spark also, if you are low on spark then you are not going to fire, unless you dump more fuel then you need to into the throttle body.

It could be a relay that keeps the fuel pump running when the ignition switch is in the run position. My jeep had this problem, where the pump gets power in the start position but once the key returns to run, the engine shortly stops running because the pressure in the fuel line drops off as it is used by the running engine, it usually died within 3 seconds. my relay was under hood and there were several of the same type in there, I switched the fuel system one with the one for my AC(which only blows hot anyway) Hope this helps...

Runs rough, wont start at proper timing setting

usually when the camaro runs rough that could be bad fuel injectors-o2sensor and fuel filter-thats my guess i had the same problem and i put bad gas in and the fuel filter went bad

1989 camaro 305 run rough and won't idle. Spits

spray some brake cleaner in the throttle body to keep it running and keep spraying and see if you can rev it up. If this produces better results then check fuel pressure. Most likely time for a pump. If this happen all of a sudden I would not suspect the fuel filter as being the cause and I would also replace it with the new pump.

90 VOLVO Runs, dies, then won't start. Wait then runs then dies

FUEL PUMP GETTING HOT, check fuel pressure, check for spark at the coil sounds like a heat problem, got a blow dryer? when it comes to fuel pumps go to NAPA GOOD PARTS, on the left front door fuse panel jump hot 12vdc to to pump, check for voltage there aswell when it dies

Car will start for a few seconds then dies.

Still sounds fuel related to me. Getting minimal fuel enough to start & or rev, but not maintaining proper pressure required. Try this. Get a can of WD-40 ready, remove air intake hose at throttle body. Start car & when it starts to begin to die, spray some WD-40 into front of throttle body & see if engine continues to run, as long as you keep giving it squirts of 1-2 seconds. If it does, change fuel filter first, but be prepared to do pump too. If you can get a fuel pressure test done on it, that would be even better. Let me know what happens.

1992 plymouth grand voyager wont stay running

i can tell you its not the fuel pump.if you smell fuel then the pump is working right, you may have a weak crankshaft sensor though which would keep it from starting and running. but its definately not the fuel pump maybe you have water in your gas
