There are two 10mm nuts securing the fuse box, remove those and then push the 80amp fuse downwards out of the fuse box (you'll see a clip to the side of the 80amp fuse) once you've slid it out from the bottom of the fuse box you'll see it the wire terminals bolted to the fuse. undo the 10mm nuts and remove. easy as!

How do you remove the alternator fuse in a 1997 Toyota 4Runner? The 100A fuse is blown and I can't figure out how to get the old one out to replace it.

Hello, the fuse is bolted in on the inside of the fuse box, there are two ways to try to do this, remove the fuse box, turn it over and remove the bottom cover, remove some of the electrical plugs that are connected, you should be able to see the heavy white and black wires that are attached to the fuse, then remove the bolts and pull the wires away from the fuse , pull the fuse up,.
The other way is to try to pull the sub fuse holder up, there is a separate plastic holder where the fuse is, look for some small plastic tabs that can be depressed and the fuse holder can be pulle up far enough to get to the bolts,

Got battery drain problem

First you need a 12v lamp in a holder or get someone to solder two wires to one, next disconnect the earth lead of the battery and connect the lamp between the battery and earth if you have battery drain the lamp will glow brit the less drain the less the lamp will glow, remember you will always have a bit of drain, now you can remove a fuse at a time and look at the lamp if it glows less this could be the circuit that's at fault. Good luck.

My left brake light/turn signal isn't working! I replaced the bulbs and turn signal flasher! Still not working! Its 2000 Chevy s10 blazer

If the other brake and turn lights are working the brake light and flasher units are ok . With a test light check at the bulb holder terminal and bulb holder body, test light should glow ,if not check from terminal to a metal part of panel away from the light body . If test light now glows the brake light body has a bad earth if the test still not glowing the power cable to the light is broken.

I have a 1997 ford F350 WITH A 7.3L DIESEL, it turns over but will not start. My wail to start light or other indicator lights do not come on when I turn on the key.

The first thing to do is locate the owner manual.

Look for the glow plug relay MAIN FUSE location.

The glow plug portion of your van is not working.

This difficulty scale from 1 to 10 is a 9.

You will need a DVM and tool undo the cables to each glow plugs.

It's a 1 to 2 hours troubleshooting job.

I'm going to fire off a quick list

====
Check / replace blown glow plug relay main fuse
====

Disconnect each center nut of the glow plug wire. PLEASE CHECK ONE AT A TIME.

Read the resistance between the center of the glow plug and the metal base of the plug.

Please take good note on each glow plug resistance reading.

MAKE SURE all cables are put back and tighten properly.

Compare the resistance on all cylinders.

OPEN/high resistance is bad glow plug.

In general 3 ohm or less is OK.

You should buy one and use its value as baseline.

===

Glow plug relay can be bad.

You will need the VOM and a friend to turn the key.

Check the voltage to each glow plugs. It should be 12.6-13.6 volt.

Be careful,the plugs will get HOT.

Compare the voltage on each cylinders.

====
So the problem can be combination of

glow plug relay

glow plug relay main fuse

glow plugs

ignition switch is unlikely but I'm going to list it anyway.

Once again,this is a difficult and time consuming job. I will ask a friend to help out,

Good luck.
