If it has been sitting for quite some time the fuel will go stale or condensed with water (water will sit on the bottom of wherever the fuel is....
1. Drain Fuel Bowl on Carburettor
2. Replace fuel filter
3. Drain off about 5 liters out of hte bottom of the tank.
REconnect all lines of system you have dissasembled and crank to see if it will start.... if no good within 1 minute of cranking... you may need to completely drain fuel tank and refill with fresh fuel.
To Prevent this from happening in the future you need to store with a full tank and blank off any vents to prevent air from entering the fuel system.... remove when coming out of storage and start!
SOURCE: fans dont work and overheats 94 toyota tercel
Most systems work pretty much the same. First check the fans themselves by hot wiring them to the battery. If they work, you need to check the engine temp sensor (some vehicles use one for gauge and fans, others use a separate one for fans) relay, and of course any fuses.
You will help yourself a lot by getting either a chilton or haynes manual to show you how to do testing.
SOURCE: how do i replace a car starter on a toyota tercel
firstly locate the starter motor; if you don't know what it looks like follow the positive battery lead from the battery to where it is connected, that is the starter motor, you may be able to remove it from the top or from under the vehicle, firstly disconnect the battery lead from the battery then from the starter motor plus the other small lead from the solenoid on the starter, you will see two or three bolts that hold the starter motor in, remove them & the starter motor will pull straight out to replace it opposite to how you took it out....hope this helps....cheers
SOURCE: Is there a conversion kit
Probably best to go to a Toyota car wrecking yard and see what they have.It would have to be the same model engine, and it is a lot to change due to having a computer and associated sensors that would need fitting also.
The Tercel came out with a couple of carbs models. One looked light a bell on its side(copy of a SU type carb),and gave a lot of grief. You can source the conventional type carb and fit as a replacement.
I hope this helps you.
