Battery had to be disconected so car radio went off now it says enter key code,dont have one and cant take out radio to get serial number to get code,been to ford they wanted £20 to give me the code please is there another way to get the code?

Went to Halfords to and they removed my radio for free (they were out of stock of the removal keys). I used one of the online services to obtain my code for a fiver and I got this immediately. However, I have no idea how to install the code as it is not as straightforward as I thought it might be.

If you get an old metal coat hanger and cut it down so you have approx two 8in lengths you can bend them to fit in the radio holes and make your own radio removal keys so you can see the serial number

Take it to Ford and pay for it. There arent a lot of ways to do that. See if you can negotiate-or go to a different dealer. My local Honda dealer did it for free.
