Does a 2000 cadillac deville have a vaccum modulator valve?

I have a major problem that entirely to much to type at this point but basically I want to know if a 2000 Cadillac Deville has a vacuum modulator valve. I found some sort of line coming off the top of my transmission near the intake coupler and I don't know what it connects to.

There is a modulator, but it is electrical. It should be located on the side of the ******.

SOURCE: Cadillac Deville 2000- Engine check light code P0741

If you like go ahead and let someone sell and replace your transmission but here is my suggestion! Check around and see if you can find a minor vacuum leak! This can simply be the big round hose that goes from the fuel injection to the power brake hub! This is normally a push in connector which has about a 1/2 inch hose clamped on it! If there is any kink or the connector is not in correctly a leak will occur and the transmission will shift rough as though you will be thrown out of the vehicle! Try unplugging this connector and plug it back in hard and straight and maybe you will be lucky and fix your problem. If the vacuum is correct your transmission will shift better than you have ever experienced!

SOURCE: changing the thermostat 2000 cadillac deville

The pressure they work within is usualy information on your radiator cap or owners hand book.Your thermostat should be a 180 degree but can vary The 180 is in reference to the heat required to open them so water can flow through and be kept at a more or less constant 180.There are other temp ranges for a wide variety of applications and 180 is the standard one for most vehiclesThe radiaor and water system is pressurised to lower the boiling point of the water The higher the pressure the lower the boiling point

SOURCE: 1998 cadillac deville fans not coming on starts

If your fans are not coming on then your engine is not receiving the signal that it is overheating. This can be caused by bad fans (unlikely they are both out) a bad relay, or coolant temperature sensor. I would start by checking or replacing the temperature sensor as it can become corroded which is what the PCM uses to turn the fans on. Many vehicles use two sensors, one for the gauge and the other for the ECU, make sure you check/replace the right one. It should be a cheaper part and if you are unsure then match the new one with its location; it should be on the intake manifold or near it, generally with one or two wires. I think you will find your problem as they are common failed parts.

Good luck!

Had 02 cadillac deville checked the p0443 code came up.i replaced both purge valves.check engine light came back on.

Check the vaccum hoses for the valves and make sure there is a tight connection and check for air leaks, all it takes is a pin hole in a hose to foul up the system.
