i have a similar problem with my stratus except mine is a 95'. I haven't fully figured the problem out but i have been told to check all of the grounded wires you have hooked to your car.

the dealer told me not to use burned cds to long in the cd player. the cds are a little thiker then a regular cd. i had to not use the cd player for a couple of days. once the cd cooled down it cam back out and i havent had a problem since. Solution dont let burned cds get to hot

I researched and found I needed to reseat or replace the IOD fuse. In my Dakota this is labled "Interior Lights". By pulling this fuse it allowed the radio to reset and everything came back. Hope it works !

you need to call your local dealership and they will give you the code to reset you radio.. good luck keith..p.s. remeber to write down the codes, that way if it happens again you will have the code for the radio..
