Acura RSX 02 -Radiator Fan and Condenser fan not working. Checked on all the relays (Radiator fan, Condenser Fan and AC compressor) all work. Jump started on the Relay fuse box and all the parts work. Checked the sockets and all have power. Temperature sensors are fine. No blown fuse. But turning on AC still doesn't trigger the compressor or fans to work. What could be the problem? Please help.
SOURCE: can't locate the cooling fan sensor or relay.
the radiator fan relay is located behind and slightly lower than the r/f headlamp.best way to get to this is by removing right side of front fascia out enough to get behind it. this will give you acsess to the relay.i work at a jeep dealer and have done this many times.
SOURCE: No power for AC compressor
try removing the plug off the low pressure switch on the accumalator plug a paper clip into the plug and turn ac on if it comes on then your low pressure switch is bad or your low on refigerant.
SOURCE: The condenser fan blew out and damaged my radiator
hi
1st u have to replace condenser fan and radiator assy , it will solve your problem , cause due to no coolant radiator fan is not working and cause of engine overheating a/c system got trip . replace both condenser fan and radiator and put new coolant. thanks.
SOURCE: jump air compressor ac works replace relays same issue HONDA
the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both fans...to test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C
SOURCE: radiator fan doesn´t work. i would
Check you fan test the rad fans on a hot wire from the battery. If it runs with direct connection from battery that means fan is actually working but any of the other fan connecting parts internally are not letting the fan to work. But if fan does not work when you manually test it by connecting it to 12 volt battery then ,yes the fan is faulty and it needs to be replaced. But if fan isa working then the other parts to be checked are
fan relay.Sounds like you need a new fan relay. This relay is NOT in the fuse/relay box under the hood. It is bolted to the radiator support, under the air filter box.
-----------
Actually there are many other users facing this same problem Due to faulty fan relay. It was a recall by Chrysler voyager company ,because many of the users face the same problem. But the recall was for the car made in the year 1996.But your problem is same as that.I will mention what company has mentioned in its service bulletin:------
There was a Recall on the fan relay:------
Radiator Fan Motor - Relay Operation
NO: 08-34-96
GROUP: Electrical
DATE: Oct. 25, 1996
SUBJECT:
Radiator Fan Relay Operation
MODELS:
1996 - 1997 (NS) Town & Country/Caravan/Voyager
1996 - 1997 (GS) Chrysler Voyager (International Market)
DISCUSSION:
Conditions related to the radiator fan relay may result in the radiator fans not turning "ON" or not turning "OFF" as designed.
The screws that mount the relay to the left front frame rail may break causing the relay to overheat and turn off because it no longer has heat sinking capability to the frame rail. If broken radiator fan relay screws are found, they must be replaced with revised screw P/N 06035202. Also, the relay may have been damaged because of the overheating (but may still be functioning) caused by the lack of heat sinking and should be replaced.
Some vehicles may have an intermittent interference condition between the radiator fan blade(s) and the fan shroud that causes a high current draw that will fail the radiator fan relay. The relay can fail in an open condition preventing the fan motors from running and causing the engine to overheat. The relay can fail in a closed condition causing the radiator fans to continue to run with the ignition switch turned "OFF". If a failed radiator fan relay is found, it must be replaced with revised relay P/N 04886288AA AND screws P/N 06035202. Revised relay P/N 04886288AA has a higher current capacity that is able to handle the extra current draw related to the intermittent radiator fan/shroud interference.
A small number of vehicles may have corrosion develop in the radiator fan relay connector. On vehicles with this condition, the radiator fan relay connector should be replaced using pigtail service package P/N 04897034AA.
So as per your problem mentioned i think its a relay for radiator fan, that has to be replaced. The cost of new relay is near to $80.Replace the relay and it will work.
On some Chrysler car models the relay is inside the engine bay bolted to front of the engine bay behind the bumper under the main air filter housing. Its fitted with 2 bolts.Just follow the fan wires.it connects to the relay. But if your relay checks out ok and working then,Problem is related to pcm. power train conrol module not sending a "turn me on signal" to the relay.
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this
solution and show your appreciation.
