How to remove window handle on 1996 saturn sl

engine side 1234/coil side 4123,all left to right.

my suggestion, is a dis-assembly, remove the connections/ operations holding the window and it should move up and down freely.

there are clips holding the door panel around the edges. to remove the clips, use a small screwdriver to feel for them, then use another one to pull the panel on the other side. Pull outward from both sides of the clip until it comes loose. Do this repeatedly, and then loosen and remove the arm rest.

Pull the window up and have a helper hold it as you work it back into the track.

we learned how to remove that one from a video on www.saturnseries.net ....they have a DoItYourself guide...just click on 'interior' and scroll down the list of videos until you find it. a guy named richpin gives the instruction. i think he's on youtube too. im doing the same thing, but am stuck on trying to get the plastic trim off the edges of the ceiling so i can get the headliner out.

the best part about having a Saturn is that you don't need to. have a look and your going to remove the outside panel around the door. the one that's painted the color of the car. the panels in thees are easily replaced and removed and this will allow access to windows. (kinda crazy and different than any other make but Saturn knows what makes seance and did it well.
