Radiator 93 lumina apv

to get a cheap fix have a free fault code reading done
Then go to the wreckers /junk yards to get the failed part

my 93 apv did the exact same thing. we changed the blower motor(under hood kinda in the center of the back firewall) and it hasnt done it since.

Your motor is a V6 3.8L-FI

HI,I would perform a cooling system pressure test to check for leaks.Be sure to test the radiator cap.A radiator cap can let your car boil over before it overheats,causing it to overheat.If you don't have a cooling system pressure tester,Autozone rents then,just pay for it,use it and return it for your money back.Hope this helps.Let me know what you find.Any more questions just ask and i'll try to help.Thank You for using fixya.....iluv2fish......Ray....

IN THE HOUSING CONNECTED TO THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE.

It should be located very close to the oil pan and it will look much like this...

A radiator fan is designed to pull air to pull air through the radiator to help cool it, while blowing the air on back across the engine to try to assist once again at keeping the unit running cool as to not over heat.

Disconnect the inlet and outlet pipes on the upper right side of the firewall (Its somewhat of a long reach but you can do it) Drain the radiator and then remove the heater core. Its inside the van located in the heater box under the passenger side of the dash board. I believe you may have to remove the inner glove box. I know that is the case on the TransPort and the Silhouette but the Lumina dash is somewhat different in style.

It on the fire wall. Look up under dash from under the hood. You'll need a 9/32 nut driver to loosen the screws.

I believe you are mistaken, I own a 1992 Chevy lumina APV and it has a 3.8.
