SOURCE: 2005 mercedes c class will not start

Dealer only ,encrypted software ,start playing with it and?????? if anything goes wrong then factory immobilisor cuts in and it has to be connected to the internet via factory and it will not be released to start unless the bar code on the spare part box has been read by the operator with the bar code reader thats on the computer .This part is then recognised as the relevant fault code from the diagnostic check and with a genuine part for that fault code the computer releases the factory immobilisor.SO MUCH FOR THE AMERICAN FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

SOURCE: e class mercedes 200 1997 abs light on dash

every time that light stays on it means that the ABS sistem is disabled...if theres a problem with the sistem it disables itself for safety...so you need to take the car to have it checked and figure out what is wrong, that light is there to let you know theres a problem and now the sistem is disabled so u need to have it scanned and diagnosed.
hope this helps

SOURCE: my coworker has a c class mercedes 2001. on one

If the battery checks OK, then the terminals are dirty, not getting a good conn. The battery needs to be above 12 volts, more like 13+ to start the car. The electrolytes have to be good in all 6 cells. Check this out, but most likely it is just dirt. Clean the outside posts and inside the terminals with a wire brush. Scrape with a knife if you don't have a brush, make sure they are tight. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: My dash lights went out

May be a bad ground behind the cluster. Use a couple of bent pieces of metal on the side and pull cluster out a little. There is a fuse soldered on the back of the cluster. Go to benzworld dot org for more forums specific to your car.

Dash light won't turn on

Check owner's manual to find out how they turn on -- and try that -- just in case there is some other setting in place.

Otherwise, check owner's manual to find out where the fuses are, and find the one that is burnt out -- replace.

My car wont star the dash lights and every thing comes on but wont start

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

If the car won't fire then it can be a faulty coil pack. If the coil pack is faulty there will be no current to the plugs, one good reason why it won't fire up the engine.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
