Turn signal and brake lights operate from a different switch. The brake light switch is under the dash behind the brake pedal. Look under the dash and follow the brake pedal up until you see a switch which the pedal operates. Normally a white plastic switch with two wires. Disconnect the two wires and touch them together. If brake lights come on replace the switch. If not use a 12 volt test light to see if there is current to one of the wires. If not, check for a blown fuse. This should solve your problem. If not, contact me for further information,
It means the emergency brake is on or slightly depressed. Try wiggling it to see if light flickers. Or you are low on fluid, or have a leak and it's sensing the pressure loss.
down below the brake pedal is a brake light switch, there is a tab on the brake pedal that pushes it in when you let off the brake turning off the brake lights. replace this switch and your brake lights should work
check fuses. If fuses are good use a voltmeter at the connections to see if you are getting power. If you are not then you will have to run down a short in the wire.
Check for power with 12VDC test light at switch down at the brake pedal. Should have power on one terminal without pressing pedal, then press pedal and see if power going through switch to other terminal. If going in but not coming out, replace switch. Can use jumper wire between the 2 connectors to confirm brake lights come on.
Run a new mains B+12 from the battery + terminal/post, tape it to the original harness, through the firewall, under the dash, up the steering column and to the "B" terminal of the IGN switch. It would seem that you have a multiple electrical issue and perhaps that is what the dealer is referring to as "cost more to actually find the problem" you mentioned in our Live Session.
Installing a new mains B+12 would be easier/faster than tracing the old one.
wrong brake pads or completely worn brake pads hardware is not tentioning back make sure the emergency is all the not depressed this can also bundle the brakes up
my 93 dodge has same problem i tried same things
