Put fan belt back on

I replaced the water pump on my '94 crown vic but can't get the belt back on, it's as if I'm missing a pulley.

What is the growling noise coming from my 94 civic motor

Water pump or pulley most likely.

Always replace water pump and pulleys when you do the timing belt.

Also you may have overtightened the belt.

NOTE, Kevlar belts will make a "whirring" noise for a few thousand miles after replacement, but not a growling.

How to replace an ac coil on a 99 crown vic

Remove the belt and the fan shroud then remove the bolt in the compressor for the clutch, then remove the snap ring holding the pulley on the snout of the compressor, then the coil is pressed on the compressor, and must be pulled straight off to prevent damage to the compressor snout. Then it must be pressed back on , this can be done in the car but typically removal of the compressor is a better plan.

Cant get the fan clutch nut off the front of the old water pump so the pump can be removed Have Cowl removed the fan loose and Two bolts removed from the Water pump pully and belt loose

Ok, it's best to have the fan belt ON all the way, that way it holds the pulley in place. Then, put your wrench on the nut, and tap the wrench with a hammer. This will break it loose, and then you can unscrew it the rest of the way. It works like an impact wrench.

1990 Ford Crown Vic Serpentine Belt Problem

Sounds like someone rigged this when replacing the belt previously. The 'old school' way would be to unbolt the compressor to slide on the belt.

Pulsing feel to right in steering wheel on hard left-hand turns.

What rims are on the car the steel police ones and what tires are on it could be hitting the stops on the frame and where the proper bolts put back in on the rack mounts and did you go with the heavy rack for the police car .Cause when I built them there was an issue with the proper bolts and there was a different rack for the cop cars the to the basic crown vic do to the suspension upgrade on it and the diffrent pump
