Honda Odyssey won't start - flashing dashboard lights

I have a Honda Odyssey 2006. The car seems to have enough juice, but when I turn the key, all the lights on the dash flash, the headlights won't go on, and the rest of the electrical system goes all haywire. Doesn't even seem like it tries to turn over. Electrical problem? Starter? or could it be a failed key-microchip? I was able to start it with a jump...

Try a jumpstart. Can you honk the horn or use any electronics in ACC mode?

Go some where that can check the battery and ALT. It sounds like one of those may be your problem.
Good Luck Jerry

Starter wont engage. No clicking. all other electrical seems operational

I would try to jump start it! Sometimes all the rest of the electrical seems ok, but the battery won't have enough juice to activate the starter.

If that fails, i would check your connection from the battery to the starter itself!

2004 Honda Odyssey won't start or try to turn

You tried it in neutral but did you take it out of park and force it back into park? Just a suggestion since sometimes the switch that tells it that it is in park needs a bit of a nudge sometimes.

2001 honda odyssey...what does green "key" light on dash indicate?

that green key is the immobilizer system indicator. It comes on for a few seconds when you turn the key to ON. It will then go off if you have inserted a properly coded key. If the key isn't coded properly, the green key indicator will flash and the engine won't start. The indicator also blinks several times when you turn the key from ON to Acc or Lock. This is normal. (From owner's manual under "Indicator Lights")

You need to have your Battery Checked. Common Symtom of an Early Failing Battery. Not enough Cold Cranking Amps Left to Kick it over.
