Dash lights and radio go out when same fuse blows?

You obviously have a short somewhere. Are they both on same fuse? Is the stereo factory or aftermarket installation? I'm thinking they shouldn't be on same fuse if they are, but will wait for reply. Bared wire rubbing against metal somewhere I'm thinking.

Find any wiring that isn't factory setting. If a positive lead is touch anything grounded it'll cause a short and the fuse it blows will be almost different every time. Tape or cap any open leads and make sure every wire is where its supposed to be. And simpler, find a chart of all the reccomended fuses and put them in accordingly.

The problem could possible be a dead short in the wireing, or in the radio its self

My 98' Chevy S10 Warning lights stay on after it is turned off and the key is taken out

I would suggest you take it to a Chevy Mechanic/Dealership. This maybe a common problem inherent to this make/model. Sounds like a relay issue. Various recalls were issued for this make if I recall. Always good to have the dealer check those.

Dash & rear lights out with fuse that keeps blowing when replaced

The radio should have a wire that connects to the dash lights to light up the face at night. I'm guessing that's shorted out

1997 chevy s10 blazerdash wont light up when key

the dash sound's like a fuse, check the fuse box under the hood and in the door jamb on the side of the dash, also check your fuel filter and fuel pump, im betting on the pump because i have a 2001 chevy blazer that has had two replaced and it has 233000km on it!

I need to get a diagram of the fuse box for a 2001 chevy blazer so I can determine which fuse is for the radio

the diagram is on the panels that cover the fuses take off the fuse door on the inside, driver side on the dash board you have to open the door and look inside on the other side of the door and its the same with the relays in the engine compartment but the radio shouldnt be under the hood i know i have a blazer

I had a wire running from my amp to the fuse box

You have obviously damaged neighboring wiring in the fuse panel. The reason the dash lights and radio is pulsing is because of feedback.

1991 Chevy Blazer dashboard lights are burned out. Can't read

Your dash needs to come out. These bulbs push into a plastic piece that "twists" into the back of the dash board. (About a 1/4 turn) Unless you can get at them from underneath, but I think it's to tight.

M y radio stopped working on my 2004 trail blazer

The 2004 Trailblazer has two fuse panels, one in the under hood and one under the middle row seats. The radio fuse is marked RADIO fuse # 41 and is a 15 amp fuse located in the rear fuse panel. To access the rear fuse panel flip the seat behind the driver to the upright position, under it you can see the fuse panel and a diagram should be on the under side of the cover.

Good luck and hope this helps.

My dash lights don't work.

this got easy after a while 2 ways, i had friends who would not take the time to spend 8dollars to buy a harness connector for a new cd player and would splice everything together like takeing the red and yellow wires and connecting them all together as one. this drains ur battery unless ur cd player can completly power down by the power button not all do... but keep this in mind on GM cars the 2 wires of the same wires like purple the one with a black stripe is ground they go together stripe on stripe also there is 2 extra wires one is ORANGE and BROWN u dont need these dont even mess with them even if u have a connector block them off THESE TWO COLORS IS FOR FACTORY STEREO IF SO THESE WIRES CAN AND WILL MAKE IT SO U DONT HAVE DASH LIGHTS so always buy a connector ond dont mess with these wires block them off and dont ground them out.
