The very first time i start my car every morning it starts perfect and idles fine, but some mornings as soon as i put it in reverse the car starts jerking like my foots tapping on the gas pedal, and also when i put it into drive. when i start to go it stops but for about 5 -10 seconds the exhaust blows white smoke and then stops. this only happens the very first time i gas the car in the morning. the reving sometimes happens at stoplights and ill have to throw it in neutral and it will idle fine.... anyone know?

I recently had the same problem, my 2002 9-5 Aero would die every time I came to a stop or put the clutch in. Replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor and it doesn't die anymore, but it still runs a little rough when shifting and I still get the check engine light. I talked with a tech and he said that I disconnect the battery for a few hours it should clear the fault codes.

take the vehicle to your nearest saab dealer and ask for a diagnostic scan, yuo have a sensor failure, if left it could be expensive.

You might want to try replacing the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Saab 93's and 95's are notorious for these faulty sensors. they don't cost much, mine cost around $55 with tax and it took me around 1 hour to replace. Go to this website: www.fixmysaab.com then search for 95_repair. They show you how to replace the sensor. They even include pictures and the tools you will need(only a long ratchet with a swivel attachment). Try this before taking it to a dealership as they will mostly likely charge you app $400 plus for less than an hours work! I hope this helps 8)
Peace and happy driving 8)
