The best way to remove the rear valve cover is to remove the intake plenum. There is really no other way to do it. It is not a hard job, removing the intake plenum, but, trying to tackle the rear cover without taking off the plenum is almost impossible. If he does remove the plenum, make sure he replaces the plenum gasket. Hope this helps.

How can I change the valve cover gasket in a 2004 Chevy Impala Ls 3.8 V6 front and rear

There's probably a bunch of accessories, wiring, ducting, etc. to remove to get to the valve covers, especially the one on the rear side of the engine. Your best bet is to invest in a Haynes or Chilton repair manual (available at your local auto parts store) and it will give you detailed guidance on how to do this.

1997 camry ce 1mz v6

Almost certainly it is coming from the rear bank cam cover gasket, for which leak the Camry V6 is notorious. Other common places are the distributor shaft o-ring seal, the crankshaft nose seal (replaceable), and the oil filter adapter bracket (if fitted)

If you get the cam cover gaskets done, specify Toyota parts, as the aftermarket parts don't last, they harden quickly.

Need to replace valve cover gaskets on 1992 camry and howmany are they

Buy the valve cover gasket in one of local auto part stores.
Don't start the car, put it on parking breaks. If you drove before wait when engine cools down. After then you will need a 10 mm wrench (it can have different size). Loose all nuts on the valve cover. After that remove the cover carefully. It's possible that you will have to disconnect and loose more stuff from the valve cover. When you open the cover you will see 4 gaskets for each spark plug place remove them also. Now you will need something to clean surface where the gaskets go. It can be special spray to degrease surface or it can be regular gas. Don't spill any liquid on the engine it can be harmful. You can use also sandpaper of minimum roughness to clean the surfaces. After that put the spark plug gaskets on it's places. If they don't stay there you have to buy special sort of glue (usually it's not a case). Then put the valve cover gasket on it's place, there are special grooves. Install the valve cover gasket extremely careful the valve cover gasket is very fragile. After you putted everything on its places start to tighten. You should do that in certain order. Start from one of the edges then middle opposite side and then the side from which you started but another edge (the same for another side). Don't tighten it comletely for one time, make couple "rounds" before you finish. After you check and connect everything remove all your stuff from the engine compartment and start the engine. Don't close the hood you need see that there is no leakage.

How do I replace my valve cover gaskets on my 1992 toy cam v6 3.0

this is relatively easy unbolt the cover from the head (this usually requires a 10 milimeter socket)once unbolted pull the cover off make sure you clean the old gasket off the cover and the head glue the gasket back to the cover and reverse the process used to take it off be careful not to over tighten the new gasket so as not to split it and cause it to leak.

How to replace a rear valve cover gasket from a 1992 lexus es 300.

This procedure is similar to a 93 Camry with V6 engine...It's a pain in the...! Essetially, you have to remove the intake air plenum to gain access to the firewall side of the engine where the valve cover is located. If you buy a Haynes repair manual for the 92-96 camry, it covers the procedure.

1997 Camry Valve Cover Gasket Replacement

Removal of the plenum is pretty straight forward. You will need to replace the plenum gasket after you remove it; the gasket is not reusable. Personally, if I was going to take the trouble to remove the plenum, I would replace the plugs and wires back there, also.
I know, I have a 93 Camry V6, and it is a real pain to do the plugs and wires with the plenum on. There are no secrets or great tips on the plenum removal, just take your time. Remember that there are different size bolts, and where they go. Please get back to me if you need any more info...Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa to resolve your issue.
The graciousness of a FixYa rating for my assistance would be greatly appreciated.
