Battery keeps dying due to radio+clock staying on

When i open my door after shutting the car off my radio, clock and interior lights turn off, but lately it stays on, it's not recognizing my engine is off so it stays on and my battery is dead the next morning! I tried removing the fuse for the night and the battery is still getting drained and wont start! what is the issue, anyone?

My battery keeps dying in my 2003 4Runner. When I remove the radio fuse then the problem is solved. I replaced the factory radio thinking it was faulty but no luck. The battery will die within 24 hours unless I remove the fuse. Any ideas what is draining my battery related to the Radio No. 2 fuse?

Your radio is staying on? you have a bad door switch.the bcm does not see door opening and thus does not turn radio off. most likely the drivers door.

You have a parasitic load(the device will stay on when car is off drains battery), take the negaitve battery cable off when you turn the car off will fix the problem temporarily, you have to take it into a qualified electrical mechanic and he can fix it for you.

This sounds like an ignition switch problem.
The accessory is staying on after it should be off.

Interior lights stay on wile i'm driving my 2005 lincoln navigator

Only one bad door switch should do that

The 20 min time out is the GEM or Body Module,
which is normal only because you have a bad switch,
otherwise it goes to sleep when either front door opens

Put radio on & open a door, the radio should go off
& kill the time delay if no issues exist

Radio does not go off when key is out of ignition and door is shut

You are on the right track...the problem appears to be on the driver side rear door actuator switch...locate this spring loaded sensor usually on the inside of the door by the hinges...spray it with PB Blastor, or WD 40...(Blastor works better) and move the switch back and forth...this should loosen up the sticking actuator and return your Buick to normalcy...Hope this helps

When engine is turned off and keys have been removed, the radio and clock and interior electronics remain on. What would cause this?

my van does that when the headlights are on to remind you to turn them off,,, reason for that is there is a bell that sounds when the headlights are on , but if you have the radio on loud you wouldn't hear it , so they make the radio stay on so you notice that lights are still on. might be different for your van but that's how mine is ty

Delay in radio turning on and lights turning off

Sounds perfectly normal.. when you turn the engine over all power is diverted to the fuel , ignition and starter .. once the engine is running everything else powers back up... The interior light is designed to be that way , some have a adjustment as for how long you want them to stay on .

Driver window switch not working

That buzzing sound was probably a short circuit in the switch panel. You will need to take the door card out and replace this panel. First check the fuses though. You may have blown a couple of extras because of the short. Did the door get wet on the inside somehow?

Radio will not turn off

U have a driver door defective courtesy light switch, this sytem has what is called delyed exit, it keeps all the accessories on until one of the door is opened, driver or passenger front will turn it off, so if the passenger front door shuts the radio off u need to replace the switch.

Sounds like one of the door triggers has continuity to earth,(Shorted) Test them all with a multi meter.
