Remove pontiac sunfire door pins

When I open my driver side door, the door immediately sags. When open the door can jiggle up and down. This isn't a huge problem now, the door still shuts but I am afraid it may ruin the locking mechanism in the future. It looks like just the door pins have been bent slightly on the bottom of the door. How do I get these of and replace them?

There should be tiny holes in the plastic covers at the base of the chrome rods attached to the headrest use a paper clip and push it in the holes as you pull on the headrest in the full up postion.

SOURCE: 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP window auto close/open

OMG. I replaced the battery in my 06 G6 and had the same problem. the windows would not roll up or down how they did before. I read the answers on here and it does work. Hold up the window switch for ten seconds and it resets. You will have to do it to each window. Worked great. Thanks

SOURCE: how do i remove the interrior door panel on a pontiac sunfire

The clip looks like a horse shoe, and is hidden between the door handle and the door panel. you simply need to push it out of place to poll the door handle off. go to a junk yard tear one apart to see how they fit. you can use a bent bar-b-q fork to remove them. remember you are trying to push the clip off , not pull the handle out.
hope this helps.

Were & what number is the fuse for a 2000 sunfire

The fuses are located just inside the door frame on the driver side. Open the door and look at the side of the dash. That cover comes off and there is the fuse panel.

Drivers side wipe wont work

If only one wiper arm isn't moving, it might just be a loose nut. Remove the cover over the nut that attaches the arm and check it. It it's tight, then you have a problem with the wiper transmission under the cowl.

I have a 2000 pontiac sunfire an the radio seems to stay on even when the car us turned completely off. What does that mean because it keeps killing my battery.?!

The most likely answer is that your vehicle's door pin switches aren't working. When you open the driver's door, does your dome light turn on? Your radio works with the vehicle's data bus to stay on until the door is opened; if the system can't tell that the door has been opened, then it won't turn off. The door pin switch should be mounted at the front of the door opening.

Driver side door sags.

If your door sags it means the bushings in the door hinge are worn out, but there is a way to adjust it without replacing the hinges if they aren't too bad. If you open your door there are bolts that attach the door hinges to the A-Pillar, most of the time they are accessable from the outside. First get a car jack and position it under middle edge of the open door, put a small piece of wood on the jacking point to protect the door. Loosen the bolts to the hinges and raise the jack so it raises the door up. tighten the bolts on the hinges back up and open and close the door to determine if the door was raised enough to eliminate the sagging.

Driver door won't close 1999 ford contour

Drivers side door will not close because, it might have dropped out of alignment and is sagging down slightly!!! or if it has electric door locks, and someone in the family has failed to mention door locks were activated while that one door was still open!!! now lock mechanism has passed it's normal stopping place and is now stuck, therefore already locked and not allowing door to close all the way!! you might try disconnecting battery then try jiggling the lock, and hope silenoid didn't get burned out, open passenger door and look at lock latch, then check drivers side lock latch!!! if your lucky lock latch should unlock when battery is hooked back up. i have seen this problems happen often on older vehicles!!! especially on cars or trucks that have been in fender benders.........body shops know what to check for, they fix problems like this often!!!!! Good luck!!

Where does the power window fuse go on a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire. It says passenger compartment- but where is that? In the door?

the fuse panel is on the end of the dash on the drivers side. You'll need to have the drivers door open to get at it. Remove the panel and you will see all the fuses. The windows are usually on a circuit breaker which I have never seen one fail. If your windows don't work there is likely another problem.
